We like coming here. There is always something we need or want. This trip I bought a pair of sleep pants with doggies on them plus they have pockets. We bought several other small things. Plus, we are looking at buying 2 really nice rocker swivel outdoor chairs. Love them. ❤️

I really enjoy this semi open air swap meet! Lots of vendors are returning for the season but it’s not crowded yet. My favorites are the jewelry, hats, purses, clothing, foods, metal art, and gadgets. Still a bit warm but they open very early when it’s still cool. Snack bar prices are reasonable for the 2 Egg Omelette with either ham or sausage. Nice ambience in the dining area with live music. Restrooms are well stocked and very clean. Parking is plentiful if you don’t mind walking.

This was an excellent place for variety of items. There are so many vendors that you will probably find what you're looking for. Live music. Great food. I love the vendor to customer rapports. It really is a shopping experience. When you come take your time look around and you'll be amazed it's like a living museum but for sale. AS SEEN ON TV 📺BE SURE TO STOP BY: LOCATED NEAR THE MAIN SNACK BAR.

A unique experience. It was free, with no admission charge and plenty of parking. Covered pathways and clean restrooms. There are plenty of places to get drinks and sit down if needed. You can rent electric wheelchairs and pet strollers. A mist area with live music. Adult beverages available. Kid and pet friendly.

The best way to support local Arizona businesses! Live entertainment, events, a food court, and hundreds of vendors to see. The Ultimate Flea Market. A little bit of everything for everyone! You gotta check this place out…

Shopping in the cooler months awesome. Lots of great stuff seasonal vendors on row D. Golf stuff to crystals, leather items dips for parties T-shirts A-to-Z stuff could spend more than a half a day lots of food and snack bars, beer and wine Friday Saturday Sunday only eight to 3:30 PM.

Not a real swap meet. Most of what I saw was vendors who buy bulk/cheap items from China and re-sell from here. Most of it could be found for cheaper on sites like Alibaba. Most items are cheaply made, new, and imported. When I read swap meet, I think of regular people, gathering up their household items or sweet finds -- and meeting up in a big lot to display their wares for the week in effort to sell. One person sells their trash, while the customer finds a treasure. That's just not the case with these cheap, imported products. These vendors buy in bulk, set up their stands, and leave all of their stuff at their stands for months on end until it sells out, and they rinse and repeat. Similar to those tourists trap souvenir shops you see when you're at a tourist destination. If that's the vibe you're looking for the Mesa Marketplace is lit! But if you're truly looking for a swap meet or community vibe -- this isn't the one.

Great place if you're interested in kokopeli yard art, and all things swap meet. Great food at the food court. Chicken tenders & cheeseburger was on our menu. Tasty and inexpensive. There's products for sale from hot sauces to golf carts, from soaps to candies, and massage chairs to hats and belts. A great way spend a day. Enjoy.

It was superbowl day so because it was that and slower many vendors were closed or closing when we got there at 230. Supposed to be open til 4 . So was a little disappointed but changed the missions requirements and made the best of it . Vendors we dealt with were very friendly . Would be nice if they had a mad either posted or handed out at the entrances.

Quite an eclectic display of merchandise. You would be unable to puruse all rhe various booths in one afternoon. Combine this with just people watching, having a budweiser with your buddies, enjoying a hot dog or breakfast sandwich this place is quite the deal. Free parking. Parking on the north or west side is much less crowded. Go and enjoy everything from live music to used books to diamond art to Mexican art to t shirts, sweatshirts to luggage and hot tubs. Something for everyone.

I really enjoyed walking around this place. It had lots of vendors, the place was clean, they had live music, and multiple restroom locations. The only thing that I didn't find was the stands with used items. You expect to see used stuff in a swap meet but more than 95 percent of the items are new and it becomes more of a farmers market in my perspective.

Always a great place for shopping, no matter what you need or didn’t know you need! We visited out of season on one of the hottest days of the year, so the mist coolers were welcome. As it was out of season, about a third of the stalls were vacant, but give it another month and they’ll be full as well.
Mark B — Google review
Not a true swap meet. Not even a flea market. This is just a bunch of small sellers unable to afford a brick and mortar store. Nothing used. All new items. Some crafts.
Matt S — Google review
Summer time, hot but water mist going. Only about half of swap meet booth areas occupied, but anyone going in the summer knows that. Different selection of items there, you won't find at a store. Ate lunch there and listened to live entertainment. Just a relaxing atmosphere.

Hear me out people!! We were on vacation to AZ and decided to check this place out on a Saturday and it disappointed us ZERO out of 10. The more we walked, the more we saw, the more we saw, the more bizarre it got. There are miles and miles of different items but nearly something for everyone. Golfing/golf carts, toys, tools, home goods, furnature, food, entertainment and a pre-disney leg workout. By the end, we did notice some shops had similar items to others but majority was all different. Miles and miles of amazing things!!

I have been here several times. Business owners have all been very nice. It’s fun to walk through and see the many different shops that are available. i have t eaten there but i seen many people stop for a break to enjoy their food.

The swap meet doesn’t have very many booths open during the summer when it’s so hot. I understand that, but it was hardly worth the trip up from where we live in Santan Valley. It’s better to go here when the weather cools down a bit in the fall.

This is an interesting, fascinating place with many interesting and fascinating people, and many interesting and fascinating products. I know I keep saying the words interesting and fascinating, but that's the only way I can describe it. The prices here are fairly reasonable, and the people extremely nice. Very very inviting, and are a treat to interact with. My plan is to come back to this place every time I come to Arizona.

The Desert Botanical Garden is a lovely place to visit in Phoenix, Arizona that houses over 50,000 different plants from around the world. It has lovely paths to explore and is a great spot for nature lovers of all ages.
Honestly a lot bigger than I anticipated! If you’re going during summer be warned it’s VERY hot! They do have ample water fountains and restrooms through the garden. Must see if you’re into plants, nature, and scenery views! The garden shop is also a decent size and have cute souvenirs.

What a beautiful place! My husband and I were so happy to have visited. The Gardens are a treasure trove of miracles... from the number of Gambel's quail roaming and making their cute sounds to the glorious Queen of the Night plant whose flowers bloom once during a full moon (to which we were pointed by a friendly and informative guest) to the tranquil contemplation garden with its soothing sounds of water to the butterflies, hummingbirds, other wildlife, and multitudes of cactus species, it's like a Disney World of Nature. We will definitely be back because we didn't even see half of it. Go if you have the chance. The Garden is a beautiful, peaceful place that will give you a respite.

Wandering through the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix was like stepping into a secret, serene world. It's hard to believe such a tranquil oasis exists in the heart of a bustling city. From the moment I stepped through the gates, I was mesmerized by the vibrant hues of the desert flora and the intricate patterns of the cacti. Even though we arrived early, the desert sun began to heat up as the morning wore on, so I'd recommend coming even earlier to fully enjoy the experience. The well-marked trails guided us through a variety of landscapes, from towering saguaros to lush oases. There were plenty of shaded spots to rest and appreciate nature's artistry. The combination of natural beauty and thought-provoking art installations made for a truly unforgettable experience. If you're looking to escape the city's hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in the wonders of the desert, the Desert Botanical Garden is a must-visit.

Beautiful botanical gardens!! MUST visit when in Phoenix. The place has been designed beautifully. The cactii are huge and gorgeous. We also saw a few hummingbirds up close! Went in the evening so had the chance to witness a beautiful sunset. The place offers defined trails, clear signs, plenty of rest stops, water fountains and clean restrooms.Very very pleasant experience, could not recommend this place enough!

I visited on their free day, which meant more people but it was rarely crowded. Getting the latest ticket allowed us to skip the hottest part of the day and still see the garden in the light. It seemed to lack the glass sculptures that used to fill the area, but has a good variety of plant life. I highly enjoyed looking at the placards to identify the plants and animals. After sunset, the plants were watered with sprinklers that sometimes hit the path. It helped cool the air down for us and was fun to see. There are artificial lights but they don't cover much. Most people used their phone lights. We got lost, which was fun but caused some difficulty when we wanted to leave. I recommend downloading the map at the beginning. Not all the paths are paved, so bring good, closed walking shoes. There are plenty of spots to sit down if you do need to rest

Visited as night fell and enjoyed wandering the grounds looking at the art pieces currently on display and the many varieties of outdoor plants native to various regions of Arizona. This was a very large outdoor garden with well designed paths and educational signs. At least two different paths were blocked off for private events, but I suspect more would be visible during the day. I appreciated that the garden was open late because it was cooler at night. One of their desert gardens in particular had signage that it can get to over 120°F during the day, so come prepared with water and appropriate clothing for the heat that may be warmer than the ambient temperature in Phoenix. At night they had enough light to navigate and see most of the exhibited flora, though night mode photography was required to see details of the plants not directly in a spotlight. There appeared to be plenty of parking and there was no wait at all, though we arrived at a time that was not busy. They have a very nice restaurant on site and a gift shop; both close at the same time as the park itself. The salmon was delicious, and the mixed drinks were strong.

The highlight of our visit to Phoenix. The gardens are so nicely maintained, clean walkways, plenty of watering stations along the trails. There are so many beautiful desert plants! If I was local or visiting often, I would recommend a yearly pass even!

Very hot but very beautiful! Wear a hat, bring sunscreen and a water bottle! Employees were awesome at making sure you understood the map and where to find water refills and the cooling centers (which we totally used!) The trails are set up pretty easy to understand and the plants are absolutely beautiful. Even though we came when it was almost the hottest part of the day, we still managed to see some cute wildlife and tons of birds.

What a wonderful, peaceful treasure in the middle of Phoenix! My family spent the better part of an afternoon wandering through the Desert Botanical Garden. Very well maintained with a huge variety of desert plants. Most of the plants had small signs posted near them that gave details about each one. There was even a butterfly garden. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bathrooms were clean, and there were water fountains throughout. Most of the paths were shady which made the visit more enjoyable in the desert heat. We will visit here again.

In town for a conference and had a blast at the Flashlight Night at Desert Botanical Garden. All staff and volunteers encountered were hospitable and informative. Plenty of water refill stations and clean restrooms. Gift shop has a nice selection/variety of items. The map given at entry was helpful. Several informative signs and learning stations, as well as educational entertainment. So glad we went!

What can I say about this Garden, it was very dry Brown and lacking Greenery. There must have been a serious dry spell amongst this garden because it was like the no hope Garden. You know if you wanted to go for a nice walk this will be a place to come and you can walk amongst the plants because you can definitely get some steps in. But other than that, I would not waste my time. Or maybe you need to go a certain season, but definitely check. we were told that this was the best time to go, and that person lied to us

The Desert Botanical Garden in Arizona is nothing short of magical. From the moment you step inside, you’re transported to a world where the desert comes alive in the most vibrant and unexpected ways. The variety of cacti, succulents, and rare plants is breathtaking, each one more unique than the last. As you wander through the winding trails, the towering saguaro cacti and bursts of colorful flowers create an enchanting landscape that feels almost otherworldly. The garden is beautifully curated, with thoughtful displays and information that highlight the incredible resilience and beauty of desert life. Walking through at sunset was a particularly unforgettable experience—the warm, golden light made the plants glow in a way that felt like stepping into a painting. It’s not just a garden, it’s an immersive experience where you can feel the tranquility of the desert and appreciate its delicate ecosystems.Whether you’re a plant lover or just looking for a peaceful escape, the Desert Botanical Garden offers something

I recently attended the yearly plant sale at the Desert Botanical Garden, and I was thoroughly impressed! The event had a fantastic selection of plants, ranging from unique desert natives to beautiful succulents and cacti. The variety available was perfect for both beginner gardeners and more experienced plant enthusiasts. What really stood out was the staff. Every single person I interacted with was vastly knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Whether I had questions about soil types, plant care, or which plants were best suited for my garden, they were able to provide clear and insightful answers. The layout of the sale was well-organized, making it easy to browse through the different sections without feeling overwhelmed. It was clear that a lot of thought and care went into curating such a diverse selection. I appreciated that there were plenty of staff members on hand, which made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the passion the staff had for plants was contagious.Overall, I highly recommend the Desert Botanical Garden's yearly plant sale for anyone looking to add to their collection or even just to learn more about desert plants. I’ll definitely be returning next year!

My wife was really eager to see cactus in Arizona, and this was the perfect introduction to the natural foliage here!Pity the Butterfly Park was closed for the season, but otherwise, it's a great way to spend a morning.Come early in the summer, though: it gets hot real fast!

Beautiful garden with a wonderful collection of desert flora. The butterfly exhibit was awesome with plenty of opportunities to take pictures of the beautiful butterflys as they fly around, but watch where you step cause do land around your feet sometimes! Places for to fill up water bottles were set up all around and there was a fair bit of shade scattered around the garden so if you got too warm you could find a place to sit. Would definitely recommend if you are thinking about going!

This was an amazing surprise! My family and I had some time before our flight and we wanted to do something cool and educational. So on a whim we went to the botanical garden and fell in love. This has to be one of the more amazing finds that we had on our trip with just how beautiful all the cacti and flowers are. Everyone that worked there is super friendly and caring and was concerned about making sure that we kept cool and had water. But we just kept pinching ourselves because we didn't realize how beautiful all the different kind of cactus are. Bottom line is it is a wonderful place to visit. Whether or not you're local or passing through, it is worth the time to enjoy some beautiful scenery.

Well worth the visit, especially if you buy a membership which they let you apply your tickets towards after your visit if you like. Thoroughly enjoyed the Ukrainian "Light Bloom" art exhibit currently running. We arrived at 5:30 and spent about 2 hours wandering. This exhibit is best enjoyed after sunset but the rest of the gardens would be more visible during the day. The butterfly area closed at 5pm, so if you want to view that section go a bit earlier. Loads of beautiful plants and photo opportunities. Pretty amazing spot to be and cool creatures wandering around too, like bearded dragons and bunnies. Fun for all ages.

The gardens were beautiful and well curated. Some incredible cactus specimens and a wide variety of rare and endangered desert plants. Also, there is plenty of wildlife to see. We saw rabbits, butterflies, round-tailed ground squirrels, desert spiny lizards, roadrunners, and even a coyote ran across the path just feet in front of us!

Absolutely spectacular and the best thing we saw in Scottsdale! Walking though the beautifully maintained gardens, there are hundreds of different plants and cacti. There is even a butterfly area, hummingbird, and bee. After dark the gardens are lit up with beautiful sculptures placed in the gardens. There is a great store with beautiful and fun things to buy, and there's a restaurant on site called Gertrudes. If you're visiting Scottsdale, this is a must see, we all loved it!

The zoo offers a variety of exhibits and activities for visitors, including a children's area and petting zoo. The zoo's conservation efforts are also notable, as it strives to be a leader when it comes to improving peoples' lives through interaction with nature.
The zoo was fun. Pretty packed, lots of families and strollers. It's pretty pricey, but I got a $5 discount for being a student. Any place we went to grab a snack was closed before 4.They ran out of food to feed the sting rays before 230, so that was a bummer too. Overall, we had a great time

Fun zoo. Sadly at the time I went the large cat area was closed for remodeling. Many of the animals are in open air cages you can walk through. Was a blast to go into the area with the monkeys and have them right there. Highly recommend buying season tickets. If you go twice, it pays for its self. Plus 1 guest free every visit.

Incredible experience. This is the first time I've been to a zoo where it feels like being at an amusement park. The entire park allows visitors to be up close up the animals in a way I've never experienced before, often with exhibits that have little to no barrier between the guests and the critters. It's so much more engaging being hardly divided from rare species from all over the globe. I'd liken it to what it would feel like if Jurassic Park was a real place. There's an exhibit with tiny monkeys that are just barely cordoned off from the public. They're tiny, but they're active and sure to make a memorable experience for young and old alike. There's a petting zoo with goats - lots of goats. They're super friendly and some of them can be very social, it was so cool being able to pet them and learn their names. There were even baby ones. And then there's sting ray bay where one can gently caress and feed a multitude of sting ray and even a tiny shark (don't worry, this one's harmless). There's opportunities to mount horses and camels, a surefire winner if you're looking to take memorable photos of yourself interacting with the animals. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, as well as extremely knowledgeable about the exhibits and the animals. The park is very clean and well maintained, and there's even a cafe where guests can grab a bite to eat or choose from an assortment of beers (I recommend the zoo's personal lager for the experience, it's a must try and it's made by a local brewing company).

Absolutely was so much fun! It’s at least 4 hours of walking & sights.I highly recommend doing the stingray feeding & petting (if you have long nails be VERY careful because you can scratch them). There are so many amazing animals- see the new lioness’ was awesome!

A Perfect Day Out at Phoenix Zoo - A Must-Visit!We had an absolutely delightful day at Phoenix Zoo, and I cannot recommend it enough! With nearly every animal species imaginable, it's a thrilling experience for wildlife enthusiasts of all ages. The zoo is beautifully designed with ample shaded areas, providing a comfortable and cool environment even on hotter days. What I particularly appreciated was the abundance of restrooms scattered conveniently throughout the zoo, making it easy to freshen up and keep little ones happy. The availability of water fountains also added to our comfort, ensuring we stayed hydrated as we explored.A highlight for the kids was definitely the fun rides, perfectly suited for children, adding a touch of excitement to their educational adventure. These thoughtful amenities make Phoenix Zoo not just a place to see animals, but a full-day experience where convenience and fun go hand in hand.Every staff member we encountered was helpful and knowledgeable, enhancing our visit with interesting facts and helpful tips. If you're looking for a family-friendly outing that combines education with entertainment, Phoenix Zoo is the place to go. Five stars all the way!

Wow, awesome zoo, really friendly and knowledgeable education staff, answered some questions about a beautiful snake, and a cute little armadillo. It was super hot, 106+ but they're were plenty of cool down spots, had a blast.

We made sure to stop at the Phoenix Zoo while in town, since the online reviews were great and it was highly recommended. The animal habitats were very clean and it was easy to see most of them. Navigating the zoo was easy, as there are maps posted and an downloadable map available for your phone. The bathrooms were clean. There are plenty of water fountains throughout. Most of the walking paths are shady which was nice in the desert heat. I was a bit surprised at the high entry cost, and even more surprised that the high cost did not include things like the stingray exhibit or camel encounter. We also did not get to see about half of the zoo, since we arrived around 2pm and were told that they closed at 4pm that day.

Sometimes I worry they’ll make an exhibit outta me. But I was able to escape and leave this review. My gf and I visited on a Wednesday afternoon. We got right on in. Tickets are 40$ for adults. The zoo is quite large and has many exhibits. You can feed giraffes and ride camels. Lots of shaded areas to get out of the sun which I appreciate. Kids we saw running around seemed to enjoy it. Would recommend.

Was a fun little trip. It was really hot out, so the highlight was definitely the stingray touch pool. Staff was super friendly and made it worth it. I think it would be definitely better to visit when the weather is cooler, but this is definitely a place to visit if you're in the Phoenix area.
David ( — Google review
I know it's in a desert so we expected heat, but very little shade in the animal enclosures meant most animals were not even visible since they had to struggle to get shade where they could. Great reptile exhibits, and the camels didn't mind the heat. We went in the height of summer and it was over 100 out, so that's on us.
Tiffany R — Google review
My husband and I went to the Phoenix Zoo recently and it was a really nice time! The animals have huge enclosures and seem pretty happy. Because the enclosures are so big everything is really spaced out so if you're going just know you will be walking a lot. We spent about two hours there and saw almost all of the animals. There is a beautiful large pond in the middle of the zoo that is really nice to sit by. You can see some enclosures from it and it is just really peaceful. If you have not been to the Phoenix Zoo, and are in the area, I highly recommend checking it out.

Let me start by saying that I love zoos. If you do not like the principal of a zoo, or you just don't like going to zoos, then I don't think this one is going to turn you around. You already like zoos? Then you're going to like this one.Pros: they had exhibits specific to the region, as well as great views of the natural desert from inside the zoo. It really had a feel of being specific to Arizona. The staff were friendly. There was plenty of shade, seating areas, places to get food and drink, and clean bathrooms.Cons: it's very hot 🔥 I love the heat, and there'll be no shortage of locals to remind you that it's only a dry heat and that it's really the humidity that gets you 😨. So I did not mind the heat. But it did make the animals a little less active possibly. I thought the price of admission was a little high at $40.If you only have time for one, I would recommend going to the desert botanical gardens next door. That was a special and unique trip.
Oliver W — Google review
Great exhibits. The monkee area was unique. There is even an area where the monkees are in the same enclosure as you are. The guides are truly in love with their jobs, and explain everything you need to know about the animals. You must take the safari cart ($6) to get the full experience. The cart and it's knowledgeable driver give you a very detailed guide of the zoo inhabitants.

The Phoenix Zoo was amazing. I traveled here from Houston, TX to see my daughter. We took my grandson to the Phoenix Zoo. He loved it. We all had a great time. Wow! Had such a fantastic time here. There are instruments from all over the world grouped by country or genre. You get audio devices that let you listen to the music from each section as you pass along. There’s a room of interactive instruments at the end by the cafe. The museum is well curated and organized. If I'm being honest, I didn't even know that greater Phoenix had a Musical Instrument Museum until I participated in a corporate training at the location; and I was impressed. This location was gorgeous, well maintained, had helpful staff, and was somewhere that I would like to visit again with my family. I can't speak on costs, etc. as that was covered in our corporate training, but I can say that this is, in my opinion, a "should-visit" location for anyone who finds themselves in the greater Phoenix region.

There is so much to see here! The audio box with headphones provides a guided tour with a lot of information. There is a room with many instruments that can be played and touched, but the museum overall isn't ideal for young children. Recommended for anyone interested in musical instruments and history. Very large collection from all over the world.

Holy. Cow. I could spend WEEKS in this place. I came to see the Octobasse after seeing Rob Scallon and Davie504 playing it on YouTube. That instrument alone was worth the visit, but there's SO MUCH MORE.I don't really even know where to begin. There's so much history and so many unique things that you just won't find anywhere else. If you like music or you like history, you will definitely find something interesting.Every employee I interacted with at the museum was amazing and clearly had a passion for music. I got into several great conversations with employees and appreciated their knowledge and excitement.

I didn't think there would be much to see here and I was really happy to be wrong! Thousands of instruments, plus various clothing items all arranged thoughtfully in a cohesive, sprawling display. Workers were helpful, friendly, and welcoming. When you go in, you're given a headset that will connect to displays all through the museum and let you hear the instruments being played, or interviews with people who are proficient in playing certain instruments, and more. There's a room where you can go play instruments, including banging drums and gongs, strumming guitars and harps, and zinging across xylophones. There a room of mechanical instruments (player pianos, nickelodeons, etc.) and a demonstration twice daily of their largest, most impressive piece. The only suggestion I would make is in the Artist Gallery: include more women. Where's the Dolly Parton display? Nina Simone? Janis Joplin?Other than that it's an excellent museum. There's a lot to see but it's not overwhelming. It's very mobility handicap friendly with wide walkways for wheelchairs, flat surfaces so you don't have to worry about tripping with your cane or walker, and two large elevators that you can easily turn a sheelchair around in. I'm not sure if a scooter would turn around as easily but we saw two or three people there with scooters and they didn't seem to be having trouble navigating.People with noise and light sensitivity might have some trouble. The noise isn't too bad but the floors are light colored wood and highly polished so if you have trouble with bright light reflecting off surfaces you might have trouble. It's not nearly as bad as the bright white floors at Target.Overall a great experience. The artifacts, displays, and staff were all great.

Hands-down, one of my favorite museums in the whole world. Very interactive that you can play instruments and also learn about so much of the music and culture from all over the world. I am happy for the Paraguay exhibit. Please check it out!

I loved this place, what a fantastic and informative museum. The integration of the music itself in each of the exhibits so you can hear the music from the instruments you’re looking at is great, and the philosophy of the museum of what kinds of music and instruments you can see is great. Add to it the museum itself is beautiful and the staff are all so welcoming and friendly, I can see why this place ranks so high on the recommendations of things to do. I highly recommend.

You have to visit here if you love music. It's amazing to see how music and musical instruments have shaped the world. Bring your significant other here for a date. You won't regret it. It's worth visiting multiple times to get the full experience.

This was an amazing museum! There were so many amazing things to do and see here! To start off, there is a huge collection on the second floor describing the music of almost every country in every continent. It was amazing to learn so much about so many different types of music! There is two areas downstairs describing some famous music artists and some music machines that make music all on their own. However, my favorite area downstairs was a musical instrument room, where you could try an assorted variety of many different musical instruments. Overall, this was an amazing museum!

If you have the time and are interested in music, you need to see this place. The museum is very large and they have a huge collection of musical instruments from around the world. They cover every continent and country and culture regarding instruments used. They also have snippets of the music from every area. We spent 3 hours here and could have spent more time if permitted.Highly recommend.

Amazing display of famous instruments & memorabilia as well as a huge collection of instruments from around the world. Plan on spending a minimum of 3-4 hours touring! A 2-day pass or membership may be in order if you plan to tour the special exhibits and/or listen to the musical guests perform.

This was such a wonderful experience all the way around! Definitely plan to be here at least 3 to 4 hours or even longer if you want to experience all that this museum has to offer! They offer wheelchairs or scooters. It's nice and cool inside.

The museum totally exceeded my expectations. A phenomenal experience which I highly recommend. It will take one full day to see everything. I went mid-afternoon so will return another time. I would imagine that every instrument that exists in the world is displayed here, buy country. What made it so enjoyable was that you go through the exhibits with headphones. You listen to the music of the instruments you're viewing.

We were so excited, they had it signature event featuring country music. We have a family membership and I take my kiddos every year and additional students as well through the foreign exchange program. The students learned to square dance, Play some instruments, And had a fantastic time. I saw the most adorable couple.Taking the opportunity to dance to the music and it just warmed my heart

JUST GO!!! I come from a musical family, but never thought before "Gee, I think I'd like to visit a music museum". My dad wanted to go while visiting for a few days, so we went and took our little ones. The experience was well-worth the price. I recommend spending the day. There are so many exhibits to see, and they're divided by continent, country and region. My youngest is about two and she really enjoyed it. They have headsets that are interactive with videos of various cultures playing the instruments on display. They even have them for the youngest observers. My toddler really loved walking up to the televisions and listening to the music with the headsets.

This is a wonderful experience for ALL ages!!! The Experience Exhibit is a fantastic room where children and adults can play with many of the instruments seen throughout the museum. Highly recommend stopping if you're looking for an, at your own pace, adventure. Almost all of the exhibits provide attendees the ability to listen to and see the instruments being played in their natural environment. For listening, the museum provides the wireless receiver and wired headset. We spent almost three hours here!!!

Amazing experience. Most all genres of music and instruments were displayed with sampling of video s. Headphones were available to hear music and explanations. My only disappointment was omission of adequate coverage of Bob Wills, ( fiddler band leader) and Western swing ( genre) still popular today.

What a gem! We spent 4 hours here and could have seen more, the museum is so big. Each themed exhibit had just the right amount of instruments, artifacts, and descriptions. It was great that each person can go to whatever exhibit they are interested in and get the full experience with their own provided headphones. There is even an experience room where you can play numerous instruments, including a theramin. I wish we had known about the cafe, we would have eaten lunch there. I highly recommend this museum and experience.

This was my first time here and it was really immersive. Plenty of interesting things to see. I particularly found the specific species descriptions on the wooden instruments informative as I am a bit of a woodworker myself. Many of the displays tranport you back to the days of yore. Conjuring images of traveling minstrel shows in your imagination. Very clean ,very well appointed, extremely helpful and friendly people who staff this Museum. I hear the cafe is great too.

Harrah's Ak-Chin Hotel And Casino
Resort hotel
Fun & Games
Resort combining straightforward rooms & suites with a casino offering slots, table games & poker.
We spent 1 night at the hotel while in town visiting friends. Our room was comfortable and quiet. There wasn't much of a view, but the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The casino was easy to navigate and a lot of fun. The location is a bit isolated and rural, but that situation appears to be changing. We'll stay here again when we get back to this area.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary, and we got a King mini suite. The room was spacious and very clean. We asked if they could make little accommodations to make it special since we were celebrating something special they stated they could not. We were kinda disappointed since we did pay a good amount of money, and this is a Resort. Other than that, it was ok.

If I could give negative stars I would! Worst service ever! Finally get a babysitter and choose to check out Ak Chin casino for a night out. First mistake, last mistake. Asked us to leave for dancing on the floor. Thankful we didn't waste any money there. DO NOT support this crappy casino. Stay in town!

I've been here so many times. Service for drinks has gotten way better here as they updated their card system.I don't like to go here much cause the drive is far from Phoenix, I never win here and the machines are so tight! If you stay here be careful of which area of rooms you choose or get put into cause it will drastically affect your hotel experience here. All and all, it's gotten better but still needs lots of improvement! I will no longer ever be a regular customer here again!

The only real quality hotel in Maricopa. The daily room rates can change from under 100 to over 300 from one day to the next. Plan carefully. The rooms are good. Clean and well featured. TV remotes are always bad so I’ll let that slide.Food options are limited. It’s only a small casino hotel reply. And there is nothing nearby - well it’s only ten minutes drive to a lot of options.Staff are friendly and proficient.I don’t gamble so I didn’t try any of the machines. Stay away I reckon the house always wins.

Enjoyed a great meal with friends. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are great and had some fun playing the slots! If I wasn't meeting friends would have gone to a casino closer to home though.
HMP — Google review
The payout rates on the slot machines are AWFUL. Despite extensive play, I rarely see any winnings. As a regular at this casino, playing various denominations, I've never hit a significant jackpot despite a considerable investment. The payouts here are noticeably lower compared to other local casinos, to the point where the slot attendants seem to walk around all day without ever hand paying out to players. The machines are also a little outdated. The casinos nearby have great machines, but for some reason the slots here are not very entertaining. They used to offer free drink vouchers when swiping your loyalty card, but now there's a surcharge, making the "free" drinks not actually free. The hotel is nice, although the sliding bathroom doors never seem to close properly and don't lock. The only aspects deserving a 10/10 at this casino are the cleanliness and the restaurants. Chop Block & Brew is amazing! The food is definitely worth the very lengthy drive, even considering the TERRIBLE traffic getting to Maricopa! However, the playing is not worth the drive anymore, I will be sticking to other local casinos.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Customer ServiceI am staying at Harrahs Ak chino was expecting a pleasant stay as me and husband are currently on baby moon few weeks before our baby comes but unfortunately, the experience is far from it and this is second time we been treated poorly at this hotel Despite the hotel having vacant rooms, I was given a subpar room that didn’t meet even basic expectations facing nothing but another building we paid for a room facing pool not a full access room, I begged the manager to use her discretion and give us a room that was facing the pool that we paid for and staff are uncomodating,When I brought it up to her she showed zero tolerance to my request they showed little willingness to accommodate or improve the situation. It’s frustrating when a hotel overlooks simple opportunities to provide good service, especially when occupancy is low. Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, and sadly, this property keeps missing the mark. I hope they reconsider how they treat future guests, as a little effort goes a long way.Would not recommend unless they improve their attitude towards customer care.

We had a room in the "resort" area (around the pool) that was large and comfortable. Our room did not open to the pool area but had a patio on the outside. It was quiet and comfortable. There is plenty of parking and good restaurants. The staff here is very friendly and we enjoyed our time here, especially since we did well in the casino.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. We were in the Cactus Tower on the Fourth Floor. When we entered the room, it was hot, stuffy and stinky. It smells like the carpet needs to be cleaned. The furniture in the room is worn, dinged and showing wear and tear. The room did not look like what was advertised online. The air conditioner makes all kinds of weird noises when it turns on and off throughout the night. We did not rest well at all. The coffee pot was cheap and did not work. This was not what we signed up for. When we asked to be moved, the front desk made it very clear they would not be moving us. I am sure once more hotels are built in the area, they will clean up their act. There is little to no hospitality with the staff that we came in contact with at the hotel. Our first and last time staying at this hotel. We were very disappointed. A hotel should not advertise online something that they can’t live up to. We booked the room through “AAA” on their website. It stated that all fees and taxes were part of the charge. But when the hotel gave us our receipt, they also charged us for taxes. So, we were charged again for taxes at this hotel.

The hotel is fine, it's nice, clean, and hotel is non-smoking. Casino is about 70% non-smoking. The pillows were small..very odd. Bring a wall plug in for your charging needs, you'll have to pull out the bedside table to access a plug in. Pool is gorgeous! There is no housecleaning service under a 4 night stay, showers are huge with great water pressure. Bed was comfortable. There is a refrigerator.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. When I checked in, it was 111⁰ outside, and the first two rooms they put me in were extremely warm and stuffy. The PTAC (wall AC) is not adequate to handle that type of heat. A green initiative is in place (which is admirable) that automatically sets the thermostat to 76⁰ when the room is not occupied (the key card is removed from the switch next to the door). The problem is, these rooms are large, and the AC only blows into one corner of the room. The thermostat is placed directly in front of the AC, so it's registering a much cooler temperature than the air in the rest of the room and bathroom. They told me to wait 60-90 minutes for the room to start cooling down, which was not acceptable because I needed to begin working at the desk immediately. The desk is not near the AC, and against the window that was letting in lots of heat. I requested to PAY for an upgrade to a room that has a better AC. The desk agent told me that wouldn't help because all rooms have the same type of AC, and refused to offer me an option to pay for an upgrade. I know it's not true that all room types have this AC by looking at the exterior of other rooms on the property, and looking at pictures of the other room types. I asked this three times and received the same dismissal each time. I requested to move to a room that was not in direct sunlight, which I was moved to and helped. However, the desk agent told me that "this is the last time we're going to move you", became impersonal and made it clear they were done helping address my issue. The room I ended up in was rundown and dirty, but the front desk had made it clear they were unwilling to do anything about that at this point. The condition of the room was sad, because it looks like it was a nice room at one point. Black mold and mildew in the shower/bathroom. Musty smell coming from AC. Busted furniture with scuffs covered by permanent marker. Broken TV remote. Lots of noise from the hallway. I was looking forward to staying at this resort, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment.

We love dropping by in here every once in a while. The rooms are very clean and always ready for every guest. Staff are courteous . Choices of food from within the hotel are satisfying. Or if you have any particular food preferences, tons of fast food within 5 to 10 mins drive from the hotel in a breeze. The hotel has an accessible entertainment center ( i.e bowling alley) and a wading pool. Tons of parking spaces. Ideal for a relaxing weekend.

Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park in Glendale, Arizona boasts the state's largest collection of exotic animals, including white tigers, lions, jaguars, giraffes, monkeys, kangaroos, sharks and penguins. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as feeding giraffes and petting stingrays. The park offers rides like the log flume through the aquarium and an African safari train.
WOW! Awesome zoo. Spent over 5 hours exploring the zoo grounds. Turns out this is a great place. Enjoyed the day and we seemed to see everything in one day. Very clean grounds and saw so many different species of animals our minds are on overload. We will return for another visit in the fall to see how the change of seasons turns out. Highly recommend a visit if your on the fence.

A wonderful place for the kids to spend entire days there without getting them bored. A rare combination of Zoo and Aquarium made this place more attractive than Phoenix Zoo. In a typical hot AZ day, the aquarium offers both cool air and cool things to play. The kids can touch a lot of stingray in a small pond. There is a BBQ restaurant behind the big shark tank.Africa Safari Ride is the best paid activity in term value per dollar both entertaining and educational. So many interactive animal activities for the kids. My kid wanted to feed the goats for the whole day. Animal feeding, seal performance, and many more. The noise in the air might be a little disrupting during your outdoor fun activities with animals due to the nearby Air Force field aircraft training.

All three of us had a great time and we spent easily 5 hours here as it is 5 mi to walk the whole time perimeter of the zoo. The thing we like about this place is the amount of animals to see in great abundance and in close proximity. A lot of the animals are only inches and the bigger ones a few feet away so you can see them in greater details. I think the feeding of the giraffe was a great idea because it lets people come close to animals. We really liked the rhino exhibit that included three rhinos, the black bear exhibit, exhibit with the giant arrowanna fish. The aquariums were a big plus and the fact that there are aerial trams available for purchase is a good plus and adds to variety.

What an amazing place. I visited recently and I had no idea how big it was. They got a lot to see. I really enjoyed the aquariums. I wish the Phoenix Zoo had them. Definitely plan on spending the day there if you want to see everything. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a big zoo that is very spaced out. A lot to see. The food and service was very bad and over priced. I was disappointed most attractions were closed. So to pay the same entry fee when things are shut down doesn’t seem right. You can easily spend the day here. This place needs some maintenance. This could be really an amazing place if some TLC is put into it. Not impressed but it has a lot to do. The ride through the middle was fun. Didn’t do the safari because you wait about 35 minutes for the vehicles to come back if there is not room.

Coming from Chicago where we have Brookfield and Lincoln Park, this is one of the best zoos I’ve ever been to! It’s huge with a ton of variety of animals. Most of the times we’ve gone the animals are pretty active and they have baby animals all the time. The sea Lion show is awesome and the keepers and staff are all incredible. They have several good vendors but also allow food to save a few bucks for families. They also have a tram and a few kids rids. A great family day trip!

Me and my husband really enjoyed this. We saw the sea lion show and we rode the zip line the roller coaster they have this bird ride that you control the rudder and it was really fun. All the staff treated us really good. The girl at the giraffe feeding station was rude but every single other staff was great. If you want a great day I'd highly recommend this place. When your all done exploring check out the bbq restaurant it was so good.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is not only one of the best experiences you can have in Phoenix, but I would venture to say one of the best zoos in Southwest U.S. (better than the PHX zoo). This place exceeds so many expectations and it is absolutely massive - you can easily spend a full day here and still not see everything. There are so many intimate up close encounters you can have with animals here from all over the world, whether it's feeding giraffes or standing a foot away from performing sea lions. They do an incredible job with the layout here and the exhibits. So much of the park is in cool shade for the hotter days. Whenever your feet start getting sore you can enjoy the comfort of viewing the wildlife from the chairlift of the African safari tram. They also do a nice job providing a variety of food options, especially with the Dillon's BBQ near the entrance. How can you beat eating delicious bbq listening to live music while watching beautiful flamingos nearby?I sincerely hope, as others have mentioned here, that they can add elephants into this park in the near future, as that is really the only thing missing from this otherwise perfect zoo/aquarium!

So, it's a pretty nice zoo and we had a good time. Food was actually pretty darn good for the price. I'll give them that, they got other places like them beat in the food category. I just really feel like there needed to be more of a presence with zoo staff. So many people walking around smoking. And it got really old really quick to constantly be in clouds of cigarette smoke. Also, there were an abundance of people screwing with the animals. Leaning forward and putting fingers and hands through the fence, even with the leopards, yes, the leopards. I understand the zoo can only do so much to protect the idiots we've become from themselves but just some actual visible employees out and about and not just where they want to take more money from you. That being said, if you haven't been then check it out, but I think once is good enough.

Awesome zoo! Probably one of the best I have ever been too. The animals are just so live and vibrant! Most of the animals were playing and having a good time. The zoo definitely takes the building maintenance and animal enclosures seriously 110% at all times, very great too see.

I want to give it 5 stars, but we couldn't do a lot while there due to it being closed. Like the roller coaster, we went on the log water ride and it was super fun. Most were closed though.. We enjoyed feeding and petting the goats. We fed the giraffes and saw SO many very cool animals. Lots of sea life, which was great! We also enjoyed petting the stingrays. We had a lot of fun. Food and ice cream places were closed as well, not all but most. Staff were friendly. Gift shot is pretty cool. Parking was good.

A hidden gem of Phoenix and a better zoom than the popular one closer into the city. This is a rescue zoo and soon the experiences are more unique, varied, and often closer; on the other hand, it's not as polished as it could be (the only reason I'm dinging a star).Feed giraffes, get up close with kangaroos, water ride through the aquarium, check out the albino alligator, and lunch next to flamingoes, this is a highly recommended review for the Wildlife World Zoo.Donate if you can. I know they are working to upgrade and improve what is already a pretty amazing place.

I was born and raised in the Phoenix area and have been to the Phoenix Zoo many times but this was my first time here. This place was great for a number of reasons. The sea life and aquarium were a huge draw. My family really enjoyed the sea lion show. We were there on a warm day so getting splashed was actually very refreshing. If you haven’t been here, it’s definitely worth checking out. My kids are already talking about the next trip!

This is a nice zoo and aquarium with several "rides" available that are good for both kids and adults. You need a lot of time and endurance if you visit all the exhibits and buildings. You also need a lot of money. Adult entry is $48 each, and rides are not included. Each ride is $6 per person, and includes a train, a sky ride (lift chairs), tram, merry-go-rounds (2), log ride, and kids coaster. For $20/hour, you can rent a "Rydable," which is an animal figured power chair type thing, but it is limited in several areas. For $20, you can also rent a wheelchair. Most of the park walkways are graveled, making it dusty and challenging depending on your shoe selection. This also affects accessibility for wheelchairs, the disabled, and strollers, so be warned. Food and drink items are moderately priced, but not all food venues were open. Not all rides and exhibit buildings were open during our visit either. If you're a "zoo person," you'll like this one, but I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites due to the physical size and effort it took to see everything. I could see cost being an issue for families too.

Loved this zoo! The only thing I didn't like was that they had so many birds! I like to see more animals, not birds, but that's just my opinion. The aquarium was awesome too! My favorites were the giraffes (you can feed them too- only 50 cents!!) And the 2 baby monkeys!! Oh so adorable!! Wish they had more baby animals in the nursery. They also have a few rides to go on, I recommend going on a couple of them (to rest! As there is a lot of walking involved).

It's my favorite zoo in AZ. I've been coming to this zoo since I was a kid. Now I'm taking my kids to enjoy this amazing place. The zoo has added more rides and new exhibits. The aquarium is awesome. People get to touch the stingrays and starfish. They have scooters for the people who don't want to walk, wheelchairs and strollers for rent. They have a couple of food courts around the property and Dillon's restaurant. The zoo also has a huge playground for the kids to enjoy. We bought the yearly membership pass, and we will be visiting more often.

So much fun! A couple of us mommies had a girl's day with our daughters. My favorites were the sea lion show where we can feed the sea lions and take photos. My other favorite were the squirrel monkeys. The lions were very vocal and I personally think their habitat was small, hopefully it led out to a larger area that I could not see.

This zoo is awesome for the desert climate. There are a ton of shade trees, and more exhibits than we could take in during one visit. I was lucky enough to win 2 adult tickets on Real Country Radio, so we only had to pay for my boyfriend's son. It's a little pricey, but so is everything these days. It was well worth it! Will enjoy going back to see the rest! The photo is a snake aquarium, I loved the mirror effect at the top of the water. At first I thought it was some kind of anomaly like a siamese twin snake 🤔🤣🤣

Highly recommend you purchase your tickets on Groupon! Bought my tickets for $35.99 each adult. They charge $48 at the door, so we saved big with 4 adults! We spent about 6 hours at the park today and had a blast! My mother in law and sister in law have never been to a zoo so this was their first time. They loved it! To start, we went through the amazing bird section they have, oh and monkeys. Jumped on the zip line ride for $10 a person and it’s a two person ride. We went to the Free Sea Lion presentation which was pretty cool to see the relationship the sea lions have with the trainer here. We then jumped on the Sky Ride which was $6 per person and was about a 20 minute ride. Very MUCH WORTH IT!! We went over a bunch of different animals including Giraffes, Kangaroos, Camels, Ducks, Turtles, and Warthogs to name a few. We fed snacks to the Giraffes!! So much to do here and such a great way to spend a day with your loved ones.

The famous London Bridge, which was rebuilt after being transported from London in the 1970s, is a major attraction in Lake Havasu. Visitors can take a walking tour to explore the bridge and its surroundings. The area around the bridge offers many options for dining, shopping and entertainment. One of the popular activities is riding on the casino boat across the lake for a nominal fee of $2 where one can enjoy scenic views of city lights reflecting off water at night.
What a sight! Very clean and well maintained area! All the restaurants and going ons were fun! People from all over the country here! The story about the bridge and channel is interesting as well. Great place for family time!

Visiting the London Bridge in Lake Havasu is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. It's fascinating to stand on a bridge with such rich history, originally from England, now surrounded by the picturesque desert landscape of Arizona. The area is beautifully maintained, with charming shops, restaurants, and a lovely waterfront nearby, perfect for a stroll. The bridge itself is impressive, and the nearby visitor center offers great insights into its journey from London to its new home. Whether you're into history, photography, or just enjoying a scenic spot, this is a must-see when visiting Lake Havasu!"

In the 45 years we've lived in AZ, we had never visited this attraction. 🤔 We were very to surprised to see how nice it was. It starts with a very nice gift shop with some historical displays. As you walk down to the bridge, you'll see shops and places to eat. There is a lovely paved walk along the river which leads to a wonderful little city park. The channel that they dug to make the bridge go over water (only bridge built over dry land and then flooded to make it that way). The resulting island has an interesting drive around it where you can see about 15 models of famous lighthouses. The biggest surprise was that it didn't cost a dime to use the gift shop or see the bridge or walk. It was all very nice and would recommend seeing it if you haven't been.

Cool attraction. Nice place to walk around. There are plenty of places to eat and enjoy. Laid back atmosphere. Bring water. Not to many water stations around. Unless you wanna pay for bottled water. Nice to relax and watch all the boats coming in and out of the waterways.

They removed all the love locks unfortunately.London bridge was originally built in the 1830’s, and bought by Robert McCullough for $2,460,000 in 1968 and moved to the new town Lake Havasu to bring in tourists. This was an amazing feat and one of the most memorable investments for a town ever made. Now the new local government wants to change that and make it a ghost town. Very sad to see the new changes to all of havasu.

A little lonely here on a Monday night in October but always beautiful nonetheless waiting for the magic hour. Cruised over to the casino. Always a pleasure visiting Havasu

Not much to say. It’s London Bridge in Arizona. Worth a visit for the novelty value alone. Plenty of hospitality in and around the area, but the bridge itself is really just a snap and go attraction.

Very interesting to visit, see and learn about the bridge and what brought it to Lake Havasu City. It's very unfortunate that there are so many boat rental places and other tourist traps around the main boardwalk, it's almost impossible to get a good photo of the bridge that doesn't have a random flag or sign somewhere in the back.Certainly looked like the place will be very busy in the summer months.

Very cool historical place to visit. We were driving our pontoon boat from Pirates Cove down the river to Havasu and it was really cool to see this. Lotta cool stuff in the area to do a lot of restaurants. We had an overall really good time.

You can take a nice walk along the bridge. The English village, the restaurants and small stores were especially great. You can also hire boats here and water sports enthusiasts will find plenty to do. Don't forget to take the ferry, roundtrip 4 dollars for 1 hour, kids 2 years and younger are free. Nearby there are some great parks and a museum. The place is ideal for a short trip.
Angelique H — Google review
The lighting of the bridge at night and taking the river boat out underneath it seems to immensely amplify this amazing experience. There are plenty of outside shops and eateries that you can sit at and watch the entertainment. It's definitely a place worth visiting .

Lake Havasu was gorgeous!! It felt like I stepped into another world. The atmosphere was cozy, comfortable, and very inviting. Beautiful views no matter where you turned. I visited during December, so the water wasn't as active as I'm sure it is during the summer months, but enjoyable and beautiful nonetheless.

A must see to believe this historic bridge that was won at an auction and brought to Lake Havasu piece by piece. Walking the bridge is super easy and will allow you to score some really nice pics, especially at sunset. There's shops, ice cream parlor, a coffee spot, and a couple of bar / restaurants making it a neat place to go. There's all sorts of boats and stuff to rent to make a day of it too.

This place is so good. I came here during the holidays and I think it was the perfect time. I took a long walk on the bridge and around the visitor center and the beach. It was lovely. There were holiday decorations and I got a bunch of lovely pictures. The water cooled my mind. It wasn't crowded, it was peaceful and nice. Most of the restaurants and stores were closed for holidays.

Just such neat history to read about this bridge! It’s beautiful and makes a great backdrop for photos. Easy to find and get to with no trouble parking for us. Short walk.

This is a great place to visit! The bridge has an amazing story of how it got to Arizona. We arrived on a Monday mid-morning and the place was pretty empty. We were able to explore everything we wanted and took our time doing it. We had our RV and we're able to park it in the dirt lot with plenty of room to spare. There are lots of restaurants and other activities like boat tours and rental equipment. Overall, we have been having fun and apparently we just missed the Spring Break crowds!

Really nostalgic place heavily documented with signage and info. Great food around, too. The red phone booth and other props are great for photo ops. The homage paid in the bricks was very touching. Several other great stops close to the bridge makes it an awesome time along our Route 66 adventure!

What a fascinating place! We decided to stop here along a road trip and found this to be much more interesting than we anticipated. We had ish there had been more “touristy” shops and stuff to do, but it was still a lot of fun to see the actual London Bridge. We didn’t see any signage that explained the history of the bridge or why it was moved to this place or what it took to move it and that was a little disappointing, but overall it was a nice 20 minute stop along our way.
Double F — Google review
Nice walk around the lake. A few gift shops to wonder through. There are a few restaurants and bars to eat at which are quite good. It's was very hot in August when we went. So it was surprisingly very quiet. No lineups for anything.

London bridge was a great experience for the family and kids we took the channel with our boats at a nice cruise speed and enjoyed ourselves a lot . Highly recommend you see the bridge from the water. Gives you a better overall experience.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is a massive wilderness area that boasts an abundance of hiking trails, wildflowers, trees, shrubs, and cacti. It's considered one of the richest natural-history museums in the nation and features stunning desert vistas that are unmatched in their privacy and beauty. Camping opportunities abound for those seeking a more secluded experience, with plenty of space to explore off the beaten path.
We loved our stay at Blair Valley. We got a beautiful campsite. It is a wonderful time of the year to visit. There is so much to see here. The desert is in full bloom this time of year. Will definitely return.

Beautiful slot - but NO signs as to how long and/or if it was round trip. The state park magazine said 1.5 miles round trip - but it was actually closer to 3 and there were 2 other groups down there trying to figure out if they should turn around or if the trail would loop back. Both ways worked, but there was no sign and no obvious way out.

The most incredible camping imaginable between blue birds, ravens, eagles, hummingbirds, rabbits, beetles, and eternal starry skies. No mosquitos. Hardly any flies. Please keep this area clean for the next person by disposing of cigarette butts, bottle caps, etc.

We saw one of the most breathtaking views of wildflower blooms here! The visitor center is good with a lot of interesting information about the park and its wildlife. Must visit if you are intrigued by desert ecosystems.

I love primitive camping and backpacking in Southern Anza-Borrego. Quiet serene, lots of big boulders and Ocotillos.I used to say the desert was mostly a wasteland, but I've learned so much about life in the desert the past 7 years. From water sources to seeing humming birds and dragon flies. The plants, the animals and the history. There's so much to experience.Avoid Mid June - Mid Sept due to heat. Winter is never too cold.

Drove here as LA was rainy and cold, and it proved to be worth the 3hr drive. Amazing landscape and less crowded.Don't miss wildflowers season in March, canyon trail, the sculptures, and the rocky cactus loop trail. Check photos.

We had a wonderful excursion at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. It was so delightful to see the dry desert come alive in swathes of bloom as far as the eye could see... all the way to the foothills. A glorious sight. These were grouping of a variety of plants in colors of yellow, white, magenta, orange, and purple. Also, cactus blooming in some areas. The interesting, rusty giant metal sculptures of varying creatures were so fun to see. Make sure your first stop is at the states visitor center to get the scoop on the current bloom sites, the history, reliable maps, botanical display, hikes, and see an interesting film. It will assure you get the most out of your visit.

This state park’s wildflower super bloom season is so beautiful and picturesque with the backdrop of the mountains. With the cool breeze, the calming scent of the wildflowers fills the air and soothes the soul. And the metal sculptures add a cool touch to the park, especially the dragon one.

Nice area, can be warm and a bit breezy, with good roads. There is wonderful visitor center with lots of interesting books and info. It even has an informative short movie and the gift shop. You can buy food or bring a picnic and enjoy the park in the center of town that is dog friendly, has restrooms, and the kids can play.

We went to see the flowers - and we were not disapointed. We skipped the vistor center which was overwhelmed, but as locals we just followed the directions of the rangers who were directing trafic, with calm professionalism depite the chaos all around, and we were not disappointed! I love this State Park and try to go durring the bloom every Feb/ March, phenomenal!

Since this is the largest state park in California, expect to do a lot of driving. The area is surrounded by mountains and desert floors. There are numerous washes throughout, but there's very few signs from the road to give you a warning where it is. By the time you see the small sign in the wash, you've gone too far and have to turn around. We stayed at Tamerisk Grove CG but probably should've stayed at the Palm Canyon CG due to size limitation. There's also over 500 miles of road for free boondocking with 30-day stay per calendar yearWe did see the Truckhaven Rock area, Font Point overlook, and hiked the Slot Canyon out to the Borrego Badlands. Excellent spots if you have a couple of days. While not part of the park, we did visit almost all of the large sculptures seen around the city of Borrego Springs. We have a 4x4 pickup truck but not high clearance. Recommend it for some of the more technical roads. Most washes were fine with just a 4x4 vehicle. We recommend visiting this park if you happen to be in the area.

Great place, from the various palm oases to the statuary field (which I will separately rate) and more. And, most of it's free! Note: if you're driving a rental-car company SUV with highway tires, take seriously the off-highway roads with "loose sand" signs.

Always a fun visit! Even better if you drive a high-clearance 4WD vehicle to explore the many trails and slot canyons! Highly recommend.

Loved our experience here - stayed in the Tamarisk Camp Grounds and explored as much as we could. The State Park is well kept and the visitor's center was a hit too! The flora and fauna are abundant this time of year.Check out the Galleta Meadows if you get a chance. We only saw a sliver of all this area has to offer.

Beautiful park. Drove there to go hike the palm canyon trail, and I can say that the drive itself is worth it even if I had not done the hike. After the sun set, I was able to see the stars very clearly. It was a breathtaking moment as you cannot see a starry sky like this in most cities. This park forever holds a spot in my heart for the experience it gave me and the stars it showed me.

Visiting all of the sculptures is a must! Do watch for scorpions and rattlesnakes in the summer. It’s way too hot in the summer for dogs unless you plan an early morning. It’s considered an International Dark Sky do Milky Way photography is amazing too!

Anza-Borrego State Park is a stunning natural oasis, with a scenic entrance road that sets the stage for its beauty. While the metal sculptures aren't near the visitor center, they're worth the drive along Borrego Springs Road from the Christmas Circle. These whimsical creations add a unique touch to the already captivating landscape, making Anza-Borrego a must-visit destination for nature and art lovers alike.

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is a large zoo located in Palm Desert outside of Los Angeles. It features a variety of animals from around the world, including desert-adapted species. The zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, making it one of only a few in the world to receive this honor.
We were very lucky to enjoy a private tour with Dave today. Not only did we get to see every exhibit the zoo includes, we also received detailed information about the animals and environments we were witnessing. Dave was an excellent host, providing us a comfortable, safe, and fun experience. He was very attentive to the children in our group and made sure they got a great view of everything. The giraffe feeding was awesome, and it was a nice benefit to cut the line via the private tour. Overall it was a wonderful way to experience everything this very well managed, clean, well-signed zoo had to offer. Thanks Dave and everyone there!

Visiting the Living Desert Zoo was a fantastic experience! Feeding the giraffes was definitely the highlight of our trip. The zoo is very clean, well-maintained, and offers a great selection of animals and plants native to the desert environment. My family and I had a wonderful time exploring all the exhibits. It’s both fun and educational, making it a must-stop if you’re in Palm Desert. Highly recommend checking it out!

I don’t understand why it took us such a long time to come and visit this wonderful habitat of some extraordinary animals. Do not hesitate to come and bring your family here. We enjoyed each minute of this zoo. First time seeing some of the animals so close and kept in great environments. Keep up the great job The living zoo.

A wonderful zoo that's affordable with unique attractions. Feeding the giraffes is the highlight but I really loved the outdoor train model. It was absolutely massive and had so much detail. Such a cool thing to see at a zoo. The meerkats are hilarious and so many other exhibits were fun. Highly recommended!

This is easily my favorite zoo as it offers such intimate experiences with the animals both with the way the enclosures are set up as well as the special experiences such as giraffe feeding, petting zoo and walk in wallaby and prairie enclosures. My 2+4 year olds loved it

I love this place! Honestly, the best zoo out here especially for the price! I love all the desert animals and plants here. They are doing plenty of renovations at this moment but there’s still a lot to see! The staff are all kind and welcoming. The animal exhibits are all amazing. You can feed giraffes, walk through a wallaby exhibit and also spend time with a rhino! The food and drinks here are definitely expensive but it’s so worth the visit!

A world- class zoo in a quiet, low-key place. It's small, not too many animals, but those they have are kept in natural, spacious settings, and there are staff available eager to answer any questions. It's the perfect size for young kids to walk around, not overwhelming, not crowded. There is also a huge, outdoor model train exhibit , and a special area for birthday parties and weddings. Don't miss the wallaby exhibit - no cages, so you get a very close-and-personal experience. Love this place.

Just got back from a day at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens and wow, it was awesome! This place has it all. They've got animalsf, like wild dogs and a striped hyena, which was super cool to see up close. We were there right smack in the middle of the day, and unlike other zoos where you're lucky to spot a sleeping animal or two, here, there were tons of them up and about. Made our visit way more exciting! The place is super kid-friendly too. You're never too far from a snack place or a bathroom, which, trust me, is a lifesaver when you're herding kids around. And it's spotless everywhere you look, which is pretty impressive for a zoo.Oh, and you’ve gotta check out the gift shop before you leave. It’s not your usual zoo gift shop; it’s got something for everyone, no matter your budget.Definitely give this zoo a visit. Just a heads up though—it gets HOT, and there's a lot of wandering under the sun, so come prepared. Getting there early is a good move too, especially if you want to catch the animal feedings and some really interesting talks by the staff. Trust me, it's a day well spent!

We went for the Glow in the Dark event. It was impressive before dark and spectacular after dark. Most of the animals were active and close enough in their habitats that they were easy to see. The various lanterns throughout the park were so impressive. Loved that there were interactive areas for kids and adults to enjoy and to have cute photo ops. Hard to pick out a favorite. Plenty of places to pick up a snack to sit and enjoy. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely be back!

If you can go during a cooler time of year than late summer, this is a super nice place. Lots of walking and it is hot AF if you've never been to this part of CA. (Like 107-110° even in late Sept), so come prepared! I've never seen this before, but they have wallabies that wander around the enclosure loose (super cool, like you could probably pet them if they'd let you, but i didn't try) and kookaburra birds, jaguar, emus, lions, rhinos, etc. Lots of massive palms and desert plant life. Definitely recommend.
Brandon B — Google review
Once you get past the sticker shock of the entrance fee, the zoo is awesome, clean, and beautiful. We were disappointed to see that there were no giraffes to feed but we're still able to see them from afar (be aware that it's an additional cost to feed them after entry). The rhino is also an additional cost to see up close. We all appreciated that there were bathrooms and water fountains everywhere.Fyi- military discount is $2 off the entry fee and only applies to the ID holder, not the family.

This is the second time we've visited and we really enjoyed it. We got to see some animals that we hadn't managed before, like the coyotes and the miniature railway display is really good.Feeding the giraffes was certainly the highlight for my little one.

Great experience because we get to get really close to the animals. Feeding & petting are part of the activities which is nice. Some zoos didn’t allow that.. all animals look well taken care of. I just wish it wasn’t too hot and that they have more mist fans around for visitors & the animals.

This was a fun trip for adults and kids alike, the animals & I HIGHLY recommend feeding the giraffes, as it was a unique experience being so close to them. The zones are clearly marked to make navigating very easy, which is a plus. The zookeepers and employees were all so friendly & made the experience one to remember!

A really great Zoo for the kids but my little guy liked the train model set the most. You can get up and close with giraffe feeding but have to pay extra. I'm not sure if we saw everything there as the zoo is now completely paperless--environmentally friendly. There is an app you can download to guide you but we did not do that. Maybe next time... Wish there was a little more staff around to know what was best to see, when feedings occur etc.Bathroom facilities were pretty frequent which was good too.

The zoo was amazing. The safari animals were all around. The rhinos were active when we went, even though it was scorching outside. The giraffes were super fun. A gouge to buy the lettuce for feeding ($10 for three leaves of lettuce), but the money goes to help the animals. And the giraffes eating out of your hand is very entertaining. We caught the tortoises getting fed. You could smell the strawberries as they munched on them. The exhibits are spread out nicely. Lots of places to stop in the shade when walking around. Many of the animals were taking a rest out of the sun. Can’t blame them. I would recommend going early in the morning when it’s not so hot. It was quiet we went because of the heat. They were renovating/expanding when we were there. Looks like they are adding much more to do at the zoo.Not too far out of Palm Springs. We really enjoyed the zoo. Check it out if you are near by.

Awesome street fair in Palm Springs! Every Thursday locals gather to showcase their businesses. Food, art, music, and much more as you walk down the street. Vendors are offering free samples and the food is impressive. We purchased mini donuts which were heavenly. We also got clam chowder that was prefect for the chilly evening! Going back next week to try more foods!

Not the office, Villagefest itself. No longer glamorous, Palm Springs is no longer interesting, mostly just hucksters trying to pawn off clip art as originals for $500-$9000 and other junk sellers. A few bright lights among the (some awful) live musicians: the wonderful sounding Native man playing wood flutes, etc. Buy a CD. How do you find downtown Palm Springs? It's where the Walgreens and Motel 6's get closer together. But seriously, if you're not over 80 you probably don't want to be here (and probably if you're 80+ as well).

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a rotating tram car that takes visitors up to the San Jacinto Mountains. It offers an escape from the summer heat, with multiple restaurants and observation decks. Passes are available now, and it is open from mid-March to early November.
One of my favorite places to visit for some snow! Honestly, it’s a bit better than going all the way to Big Bear. It’s just more convenient. I went on March and we got to see lots of snow!!!! It was snowing as well!!! So beautiful. As for tickets, online might say their sold out but if you arrive early when they open which is at 10:00am, they sell some tickets until they sell out so make sure to get there early.

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is a wonderful journey for everyone to. I love this place! Lots of parking, there's a tram that picks you up to take you to entrance at more than 8500 ft. We bought tickets when we got there, but you can buy them online before. Great views, and the staff makes the tram fun with music and sharing info on the way up. The film tells the history. It's all so interesting to see how it was made! Lots of food with the ride and dine tickets, The restaurant food is okay at the top! Go out on the deck at the top and walk out to all the little lookout.

I went a couple weeks ago for the very first time! I had a very great time and the view is beautiful! I will for sure be coming back!😍My visit was last minute planned, so we waited about 2+ hours to get on which is understandable. But it was worth every second!

A great place! I recommend it to everyone! It was a little scary to take the tram up, as it is very high and there are only rocks all around. But it's very exciting and beautiful. The pine forest at the top of the mountain will not leave you indifferent. You will feel the refreshing coolness and the coniferous aroma of the mountain air. This is a truly lifesaving place from the heat in Palm Springs. I recommend buying tickets with dinner if you plan to eat upstairs after 4 p.m.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway was an unforgettable experience. For just $30 per person, we were treated to awe-inspiring views of the Coachella Valley as we ascended over 8,500 feet in the world's largest rotating tram car. At the Mountain Station, we had plenty of time to explore the scenic trails, take in the panoramic vistas, and even grab a snack from the quick bites cafe. While there is also a sit-down restaurant at the top, we didn't have a chance to dine there on this trip. The waits were about 30 minutes each way, but the time flew by as we chatted with fellow passengers and admired the scenery. If you're seeking a unique adventure and don't mind heights, the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway is an absolute must-do!

A great experience. My husband's grandfather was the President of the Civil Engineer group that designed this aerial tram. He has a plaque at the top. Very cool to see it. Tram ride is wonderful going to the top and back down. Very organized and easy to use. Are at the sit down restaurant and food was great. Waitress was a little overwhelmed with mostly likely too many tables but she was very polite.

I recommend purchasing tickets directly from the official website. Our group bought tickets from a third-party site, which meant we didn't get a designated time until we checked in, resulting in an additional hour's wait for the tram. During this time, we enjoyed some drinks. The ride to the top offered beautiful views. However, despite the conductor's reminder that the tram rotates as it moves, some people held onto the railing, causing others to get squished. There was plenty of snow during our visit, making the scenery even more breathtaking. However, it also required extra caution on the hikes. I recommend arriving early to make the most of the experience, as the departure line gets long. Our departure wait was nearly two hours.

It's a fun ride up and down. The scenery at the top is stunning. The restaurant was very good. I only give it three stars because it is crazy expensive. $15 to park. $66 for a couple to go up ( if you are over 65, you get $1.25 off). Lunch for two was $94 plus tip. So, it's $170 for a fun 20 minute round trip ride and a couple of sandwiches and tea.

We went during the off season. We purchased the lunch/dinner with the tram ride. which was a better deal purchasing them together. The food was very good & you could eat outside or in. We took a walk along some of the trails. All the staff were helpful & friendly. Bathrooms were very clean. They also provide a photo with a variety of packages for a price.

So much fun! The "captain" of the tram in our ride down was amazing. Awesome music and great energy! Even if the website says tickets sold out, ignore it. You will always be able to get tickets at the base.

I love this place! Lots of parking, there's a tram that picks you up to take you to entrance. We bought tickets when we got there, but you can buy them online before. Great views, and the staff makes the tram fun with music and sharing info on the way up. Be sure to go through the little museum before you leave. It's all so interesting to see how it was made! Lots of food with the ride and dine tickets, we had a lot of leftovers. Bar and restaurant at the top! Go out on the deck at the top and walk out to all the little lookouts, you can take your drink with you while you walk around.

Wow. What a spectacular view from the rotating tram, which ensures everyone will have a great view from all sides. The hike in the beautiful mountains was an added bonus. For me, going up made me a little nervous, but coming down wasn't bad.

It’s weekday but a lot of people come here for the trail and cafe. It was a nice experience to use the tramway! My hubby and I got the summer pass, $85 good from May 1st to August! Will definitely come back here. When you reach the top, it is colder. The fresh air and relaxing nature is so invigorating. Will definitely come back here!

My 1st experience at the Palm Springs aerial tramway was amazing. It's definitely a must when visiting Palm Springs. Upon arrival, be prepared to take a small steep inclined hike to the station from the parking lots, and transports are available. Check-in is easy, with a small deli and bar conveniently located at the bottom station offering plenty of shaded benches and amazing views. The tramway itself is a treat when heading up as it rotates, offering breathtaking views regardless of where you may be standing. Once you arrive at the top , the newly renovated 3 floor station provides you 2 locations to dine at. Reservations are recommended to eat at the restaurant. The bar is a must offering an array of beverages to your liking (beers on draft or bottled, wines, and several spirits for cocktails). Theirs a small museum and a couple of theaters offering a quick history lesson and education on the wildlife observed in the area. Bring warm clothes as temperatures fluctuate in 8k+ elevation. There are plenty of hiking trails as well behind the station. I highly recommend the tramway. 10 out of 10.

Visited on labors day 2024.We bought the tram tickets on site. The line for the ticket booth wasn't long, but the real waiting started after that. We arrived around noon and had to wait ~1.5hours to ride the tram, which was still doable but highly recommend buying tickets ahead ;)

A great adventure with breathtaking views of Palm Springs. The ride up and down is about 10 minutes. On top you have a couple of dining options, shopping, trails and other educational opportunities. A fun break from the desert heat too.

Well worth the ticket price. 40° cooler than in Palm Springs. Nice short walks at the summit among the trees. We did the post 4:30pm trip including a meal in the cafe which was good. Last cable car returns at 8:30pm. Parking is $15.

This is a nice place to visit. We drove in from Santa Clarita to visit, and it was all worth it.There are very good views up there and a lot of trails if you are into hiking. There is a cafe and a restaurant. My wife and I had each a salad at the cafe, and they were very tasty and well made- well worth the money. The ride itself takes about 11 minutes. You can buy tickets online - or do as us: walk-in, which can result in getting no tickets. We arrived early at opening, so no problem.

(Sorry for the late review, we went here during March). This was the greatest experience ever since I’ve never seen snow in ages(Texas). The air cool and there were plenty of great views. And at the top, they have plenty of foods to choose from. But then you get to walk even further into the mountain. The employees were fantastic and the tram pilot was very friendly and had some jokes along the way. Would definitely recommend this.

It’s an outlet as you know. Many stores with lower prices than we thought. Some stores had a line outside of them. Very clean and neat place. It’s right before Morongo Casino if you come from LA. It has huge parking lot. You can see a tall Mt. at background. There are many windmills around.

Outlet Mall has the weirdest parking (parking garage in the back). Some of the Outlet entrances have been barricaded. Put on your walking shoes!!!! Lots of stores, good luck finding a directory/map!

The Desert Hills Premium Outlet in Cabazon is an enormous shopping center, boasting a wide range of brands from affordable to luxury, nestled amidst natural beauty. We visited on Memorial Day to explore potential deals and were pleasantly surprised to find discounts of 50% to 75% in numerous stores, including Banana Republic, Coach, Gap, and many others. While parking was ample, the crowds were substantial, and the traffic was overwhelming. Our journey from Ontario took 47 minutes, but the return trip took a whopping 60 minutes. To make the most of your experience, consider planning a whole-day trip: shop, eat, rest, and shop some more! The outlet offers a variety of dining options, and popular eateries like McDonald's, In-N-Out, and Panda Express are conveniently nearby. Be prepared for large crowds and long lines, but the experience is sure to be enjoyable.

There are various outlet stores. There are a lot of extra sales at the sale price. One thing that's disappointing is that there are not many restaurants. There are some restaurants on the street that sell in tents, but it's uncomfortable to sit down and eat.

Truly a desert oasis and a shopping experience like no other! The best outlet mall, maybe the best shopping center of any kind, that I've been to in the US. Big, clean, and so many stores! Always a great, full day. I wish there were a few more food options, but I'm happy with the Thai food truck, or just go home when I start getting hungry - that definitely makes my wallet happy. You can easily spend equal amounts of time and money here (lots) so plan for a few hours. It's also not as terrible when it's hot as you might think. Walk in the shade and go in the air conditioned stores and you'll be fine.

Desert Hills Premium Outlet is close to Palm Springs and it takes more than an hour to drive from LA. Traffic is pretty heavy during rush hour. This outlet is one of the largest outlets with many luxury brands. You could spend a while day shopping at this outlet. Some stores offer great discount up to 75% off.

If you want shopping from luxurious brands, this is your outlet. However, European brands are much cheaper in eu.The outlet is nice with great brands to explore and shop from. It took us one hour and 50 min to reach from LA.

Definitely worth going, maybe over two days. The Last Call was the best I've seen, but the Off 5th was the worst I have been to. The brand name stores tended to have small selections and some items were less on the websites.

The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary with hundreds of exotic animals from around the world. It's perfect for first timers and provides a close-up view of some of the most impressive beasts on earth.
It's an amazing full day's adventure. Parking is on a hill, so drive to the top and start your search for a spot there. It's more than a safari ride, there are many exhibits and themed areas. No matter what you do, be sure to take that safari tour. The guides are well versed and are quick to point out the sights. Wild antelope, giraffes, cheetahs 🐆, and more. There are gift shops, of course, and a few different food choices throughout. You can save money by bringing your own food, saving money for the gift shops!Enjoy your day, and be prepared to walk into a great adventure.

Safari was very cool, but the website is incredibly confusing even though it’s been “revamped”. The tour guide on the safari was hilarious and knowledgeable. Seeing the giraffes and rhinos grazing alongside some other species of deer was very nice. The rest of the park seemed empty. Didn’t see cheetahs, lions, elephants or anything really besides some birds. Kind of expensive to not see much and would’ve loved to just pay for the safari only.

Exceptional Day at San Diego Zoo Safari Park! Our visit to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park was nothing short of extraordinary, starting from the striking front sign and impeccably maintained restrooms. The park boasts a delightful atmosphere with pristine cleanliness and a wide array of exceptional exhibits that genuinely immerse visitors in the wonders of wildlife. One of the standout features was the feeling of safety throughout the park, allowing us to explore with peace of mind. The affordability of the food was a pleasant surprise compared to other attractions, and the level of customer care rivaled that of Disney—volunteers were exceptionally knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing insights. We were particularly drawn to the gorillas, tigers, and elephants, eagerly anticipating their upcoming multimillion-dollar exhibit overhaul. This commitment to enhancing animal habitats promises even more enriching experiences in the future. Moreover, discovering the bat exhibits and exploring the serene bonsai garden added unique dimensions to our visit. These lesser-known attractions provided fascinating insights into lesser-known aspects of the natural world. For families, the opportunity to upgrade kids' tickets to a one-year membership for free is an outstanding value. It encourages return visits to delve deeper into the park's offerings. In conclusion, our time at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park was truly remarkable. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this park offers an unforgettable day surrounded by captivating wildlife and unparalleled park experiences. Highly recommended for nature enthusiasts of all ages!

We enjoyed the safari park so much!!! The park was very well designed and easy to navigate around. We booked a behind the scenes tour for the Australia section and it was so worth it! Some animals prefer to stay in their cozy nooks and we wouldn’t be able to see them otherwise. Thanks you so much to our guide Joseph and the care specialist Hunter we met, who are both so knowledgeable and passionate about the animals!

My husband and I came for my birthday weekend. Mostly for the mimosa wildlife safari, but you have to pay regular admission to the park as well. The park is huge and you see tons of wildlife. Shout out to Dominique, who served us mimosas and pastries on our safari ride. She was friendly and outgoing. I would definitely visit again!

So there are a huge amount of animals and things to do. It has an immersive wildlife experience with expansive habitats that allow visitors to observe animals in environments similar to their natural homes. The guided tours are awesome and there is a free tram which is 90% the paid 100$ per person tour. Definitely the best zoo I have visited!

We have been visiting this park for years, and it never gets old. We have an annual pass to support this amazing park and unfortunately, we can only visit once a year since we are busy. It is not a zoo where animals are in small, caged areas. There is a Safari Tram that takes you around a large safari tour with a live guide who talks about animals, their conservation and efforts to protect endangered species, etc. The Park is huge and includes botanical garden & bonsai exhibits. We like walking around. The best time to visit is during the holidays and stay after dark to see the beautiful sunset and enjoy the “Wild Holiday” events/lights. We arrived early afternoon and it wasn’t too bad parking & entering the park. The animals including the tigers, gorillas, and platypuses were active.

It is an amazing, for me it is more beautiful than the zoo.Easy to walk all around it. About (4 hours)My advice start with Savana tour from gorilla entrance, you can use the train ride to do it, you don't need to purchase the expensive ones the train ride is included in the park ticket. After that you can walk around in a circle to see the rest of the animals.A balloon ride is a must it is very beautiful and kids will enjoy it.People who work there are great and very helpful.

This is a great zoo. It's really pretty to walk around and laid out in a neat loop so you don't miss anything. In addition to the animals, they have face painting, henna, caricature artists, rides and lots of gift shops - you really could do your Christmas shopping while you're there. The food options are also really good. There was standard zoo fare that I've noticed at every zoo ice ever been to, but they also had higher quality and quite a variety of options for food. They also have a good variety of adult beverages that seemed well thought out and seasonal, so I'm guessing they have different options at different times of the year. The zoo had a very welcoming, park like feeling. There are lots of spaces to b sit and just enjoy being outside. It's somewhere I could spend a lot of time if we lived closer to it.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park is an outstanding destination for families and animal enthusiasts alike. The park offers an incredible blend of education and adventure, making it a perfect day out. The exhibits are well-designed, allowing visitors to get up close to a wide variety of animals while learning about their habitats and conservation efforts. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always ready to share interesting facts and answer questions. The Safari experiences are a highlight, providing a unique and immersive way to see animals in more natural settings. Overall, the park is not just a place to see animals but a place to learn and appreciate the importance of wildlife conservation. Highly recommended!

Love this place, sometimes better than zoo. Lots of open and airy spaces to walk, especially for all the animals. Makes you feel like you are in another country the beautiful view of the open space in the middle for the animals. Get the pass; it's worth it, the one with parking. Otherwise, parking fee is $25 per vehicle. Lots of staff everywhere willing to help. Buy tickets in advance; wait is very long otherwise. Food is good too and lots of shady areas to relax.

Second time coming here with family. Came on a hazy Sunday that was a bit cold but it didn’t dampen our experience here at the SD safari park. Lots of good options and gift shops right upon entrance. Plenty of staff if you have any questions. I got a latte at the coffee stand they have in the beginning, decent and quick service. The exhibits are great ranging from the nocturnal duck billed platypus, young kangaroos, lions, jungle bats, wild cats, tons of birds and a huge African animal enclosure. The team ride around said enclosure is always great with lots of tips about the species they have on display. First time we came and we did the big zip line experience. Totally worth it. The views of the park from up there are incredible.

It’s best to get there a couple minutes before it opens as the parking lots get filled up pretty fast.I have not been here in years and having to visit again was so different. It’s hot but there’s enough shade around when you walk. The tram is free but will end up waiting in line for a while off you do get there in the afternoon.Friendly staff by the way and so much to see.

Great experience! Diverse animals, plants and visuals were thoughtfully presented and shared. Reminded me of being in Africa at the overlook lunch spot! There was a good energy that was shared from staff and attendees! People were enjoying themselves and parents and kids seemed relaxed. Gorillas were fascinating and their size was something I hadn't appreciated until this visit. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend visiting the safari park! In the summer it is much hotter than the zoo, but you can find shade to cool off in. We followed a friends advice to get there as soon as the park opened go straight to the tram to get on the first one. It was worth it, because by the time we got back there was a huge line! We spent all day here and got to see the cheetah run!

The landscape magnificent was unbelievable! The closeness to live wild animals was beyond measure. The Hot Air 🔥 Balloon was so much fun short but sweet. Take the tram for sight seeing and have lunch at one of many good restaurants there or bring your own. I love the all the shops and bought more than needed! We had an absolutely amazing experience at the San Diego Safari Park! One of the highlights of our visit was meeting a platypus—such a rare and special moment! We also got up close to the giraffes, and it was so much fun watching them interact with our guide, who handled it so well even when they playfully tried to nibble. The park is beautifully maintained, and the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This was definitely a visit to remember! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and exciting adventure.

Steve & Doug - San Diego Zoo's original Odd Couple. These guys were absolutely amazing and really made the Deluxe Safari Adventure well worth it.Their deep knowledge coupled with their warm and inviting personalities brought the entire experience to the next level. Steve was so funny and charming, he was great with both the adults and kids alike. One thing to be aware of, you must buy tickets to the park in addition to the safari tickets. We didn't know that, so we actually bought a full day park pass without being able to attend the park (we go there for our 90 minute tour at 4:30 and park closed at 6). So, we viewed as a donation for all the wonderful work that the San Diego Zoo does.We took so, so many pictures, so I only included a choice few (and a couple of videos - nope won't upload - bummer!). It was wonderful, and honestly inspiring, to hear how much conservation work the San Diego zoo does, not only in revitalizing animal species, but botanical ones as well (that was a real surprise!).They said the 90 minutes would go quickly, and they weren't kidding, Before we knew it the tour was over and I was ready to go again.I would definitely spring for the deluxe tour where you can go right into the animals' sanctuary in the big safari truck, rather the the tram that takes a route separate from the animals and lacks the personal touch.I really can't wait to go again, this is something everyone should experience and was absolutely one of the greatest highlights of our trip.

This venue is what we should be doing to preserve and continue species survival, not in the wild. The animals appear to be able to interact in a more "natural" environment. They are clearly well cared for and valued by the staff, from a layman's perspective. The grounds are well-maintained and the personnel both helpful and friendly. The experience, though, is quite pricey! I believe that cost prevents many from being able to enjoy this place. Example, for our family of 6 to just walk in the gate was $420 and to go on the extended (and wonderful!) tour inside the grounds was an additional $600.

Every seat in the house is good to go! The seats may be tight for those with a girth. We've been to a few plays and concerts here and have enjoyed each one. The folks who work there are top notch. And they have a snack bar outside the theater that also sells beer and wine if interested, should you choose to arrive early and relax on the spacious patio.

HIGH-QUALITY PERFORMANCES! The Old Town Temecula Community Theater is outstanding! Each event I’ve attended here has been fun and enjoyable. I’ve seen play productions, concerts, and recently the Annual Jazz Festival! The seats are SO comfortable here and there’s plenty of ramps for disabled guests. The volunteers and staff are very welcoming and helpful. The venue is intimate which allows each seat to provide a great view! The theater seats have a lot of leg room. There’s upstairs seating, but it’s limited. You can also find a small balcony section on each upper side of the theater, however, they’re also limited in space. Most seats will be found at the bottom level. The theater’s box office can be found in the neighboring venue, The Merc. Additionally, the theater has a set of restrooms across from it and a snack shop that has wine, soda. candy and other goodies. The venue is family friendly and has a great atmosphere. Being in the heart of Old Town Temecula, one has several food options before and after an event as there’s many restaurants and bars nearby! I have an appreciation for this theater as they really reach out to the community and tickets aren’t overpriced!

The theater is a delightful small town venue, tucked behind Front Street. There is not a bad seat in the house! All of the seats are comfortable and offer a great view of the stage. The snack bar is convenient with drinks, adult beverages, and snacks. It is cozy and quite enjoyable reading the donors names on the artistic metal sculptures and plaques. The Addam's Family Musical was well done and entertaining with a quality cast. It was not as family friendly as we had hoped in language and content, yet still enjoyable.

Small venue, but that is a good thing. We sat in the balcony. Interestingly, the balcony is just one row of seats. That makes egress and access difficult. But the center seats in the balcony have the best view, so tripping over your neighbors is worth it!

Very nice, intimate theater. Appointed well, excellent sound system and acoustics, astounding lighting. A gem of a theater. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the parking in Old Town Temecula is horrific. The whole area deserves a parking structure, or remote parking facility with shuttle service.

Saw Led Zepagain here and it was a great venue! Sound & lighting were were really good. Seating was comfortable. There were no signs posted for the entrance so we walk around building twice to find it. Parking is $26 in the lots & you have to pay thru your phone. Not even the lot attendant could get it to work right. I had to park 4 blocks away at the city hall parking structure, which is free but made us miss 25 minutes of the show.

A must see when you're in town. Lots of restored old buildings, food options (try Goat and Vine restaurant) and shops. Make sure to also go down the side streets as there are other shops around that are worth visiting. Lastly, there's a public parking about 2 blocks up away from the main street that helps avoid competing in finding parking.

The Mission also organizes events and exhibits that are popular with tourists, including a free audio tour that provides interesting stories about the site's history. Admission to the Mission includes access to the chapel, museum, gardens, and padres quarters among other areas.
We drove up from San Diego for the day and visited the mission. We were able to find free parking on the street, paid our $18 per person entrance fee, and walked around the grounds. It's beautiful, especially on a sunny day. Lots of beautiful photo spots. We chose not to take the free audio devices - we just followed the map and strolled around for about an hour. There are multiple restrooms inside and a gift shop. They were removing the Christmas decorations the day we visited (January 2), so if you want to see it decorated, go before the New Year.

We stopped by on our coastal drive at this mission including beautiful gardens! It has a variety of plants but mostly very beautiful trees! We arrived just half hour before closing ao had a rather quick stroll through it but it was worthwhile. There are public toilets as well, clean. The mission is well maintained and the personnel is welcoming to explain about any questions. Audioguides are also available. As we arrived before closing it wasn’t too crowded but i can imagine it can before during weekends. Parking wasn’t easy to find. There are many open trails to follow and it has a little shop as well with gifts for sale. Across the street you find some restaurants and as well gift shops.

What a beautiful setting full of History and a great testament to the early Missionaries. There is the new and preservation of the old. Very dedicated personal work at the Mission San Juan Capistrano location. They explain the past very well. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice shopping also nearby. Easy access via the train from Los Angeles or San Diego Amtrak or Metro Link.

What a beautiful place! Our first time visiting and we enjoyed it! It was a hot day but love that they provide umbrellas to protect us from the sun! Bathrooms were clean! The audio tour was very informative! They had English audio for us and Spanish audio for my mom!

Beautiful historical site in San Juan. Well worth the visit. Have the audio guide very comprehensive. Take a sheet of photos identify the flora in the gardens. Gift shop well stocked and relatively priced. There’s a small chapel inside and you can light a candle. There’s sometimes a basket of free citrus fruits from the trees in the gardens. Take water with you. There’s nice places to sit and chill too. Very relaxed inviting place. Park round the corner for free parking on a weekday and then walk down to the station for more little shops and history.

Big and beautiful mission with amazing gardens! The number and variety of plants in the garden is astonishing. If you like plants, flowers, cactus and more, you’ll be really happy here. I could have spent the day just in the garden. The mission ruins are well preserved, there is lots to see in the museum. The place was crowded with children on school tours. It is accessible, with wide paths and lots of nooks and crannies to stop and rest. There is an amazing gift shop, clean bathrooms. Parking was challenging, but there are parking spaces behind the mission.

Considered the jewel of the 21 missions built by the Catholic Church in the late 1700's and early 1800"s in California, though with controversy over the years.Just beautiful grounds rivals missions in Carmel, and Santa Barbara IMHO .Used by many people for special events and photography as you can see in my photos.I was given permission to take a photo of one of the special events.

Very magical place. The grounds are beautifully kept and the buildings are filled with rich history. The chapel is a sacred place to feel close to a higher power. Don't forgot to pose by the fountain as Marilyn did!

This beautifully maintained Mission is well worth the stop in San Juan Capistrano. There are many exhibits to see. Recommend the audio tour to get a full experience. I came at the beginning of May and the flowers were in full bloom!

An amazing place. The grounds are very well maintained. Beautiful garden! When we were there several school groups were touring. The Staff appeared to do a great job hosting. The Audio Tour is informative. Available parking along the street can be difficult. There are some good restaurants close by. The surrounding area is clean. A once in a lifetime opportunity.

Came on a hot day and was not disappointed. Beautiful areas for photo-ops and so much history to learn about. I never knew this place existed yet alone knew about San Juan Capistrano. It's like you're in a different era. Parking is a little hectic but just means you get to walk around and check out the small stores around the mission.

What an inexpensive, intellectually stimulating and historically significant way to spend a few hours. Great for the curious and for families. So much of the original mission is still intact and accessible for you to experience. They provide a free audio tour, which allows you to meander around the grounds and visit what you find interesting.

Very peaceful and reverent place. Relaxing learning about the history of the mission and what it was like. The hand held audio recording things were very interesting and well done. We paid over $80 to get in with 4 adults and one child and we felt it was well worth the money. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in learning about the history of the area.

A pleasant surprise and getaway from urban life that’s conveniently located and well-maintained. There is a tranquil atmosphere that is not lost amidst the sounds of preservation work and visitors touring the grounds. It is a noticeable effect that I found to be quite therapeutic.I appreciated most the exhibits of art and Native American life, as well as the grand ruins of the Great Church.I highly recommend!

Very beautiful place with lots of Great Mission History and beautiful gardens. The audio tour is very informative and enjoyable. The mission has plenty of walking trails and places to sit and rest if needed. Every where you look it's a view. Very clean and peaceful. Parking is a little tricky as you have to park in the street. Can't forget the gift shop they have something for everyone. Enjoy!

Both interesting and educational. We spent about 3 hours there. We took the self-guided audio tour. Beautiful old buildings I've been restored. Lovely gardens in the courtyard, although the tour is very clear that historically the courtyard was used for more practical matters.Nice gift shop with a variety of items both secular and religious. Pleasant and courteous staff. We both found it very interesting and thought of a worthwhile way to spend an afternoon.Outside of the mission there are many many restaurants, a tourist shop with authentic native American jewelry, and an antique store with numerous vendors.Admission fee was reasonable.

It's an incredibly beautiful and peaceful experience at the mission. Monarch butterflies dancing around the colorful landscape make it especially nice. I came with my friend from Switzerland and she loved it. Very nice that they are dog friendly as well. It isn't large but there are rooms with beautiful art reproductions of plein art. I only wish they had a cafe as museums do to linger in the experience.

This very short ferry ride over to Balboa Island shouldn't have been of any importance. But stepping on and sitting for just the couple of minutes it takes to cross was somehow very tranquil. And bonuses: since there are multiple ferries running at the same time, we didn't have to wait, and, amidst a day of high prices for everything, getting a ride anywhere for $1.50 made it that much better.

Experience the ferry here for the first time, it's great! A ferry can carry three cars and some pedestrians or bicycles. The sailing time is about 10 minutes, and the children are very happy. A car + two adults and two children, a total of 5 dollars one way.

Disneyland Park is a world-famous amusement park located in Anaheim, California. The park features rides, shows, and themed lands from various Disney movies and cartoons. It is one of the most popular attractions in the world and has been operational since 1955.
We had an amazing time going to Disneyland it was an absolutely wonderful time. You can do so much fun stuff at Disneyland and you can eat so many different things There. I loved the rise of the resistance ride it was so fun and there was so much detail to it. I do have a few recommendations. Number 1 is to get genie plus and the app l. It makes your whole experience better. Also if you want to go somewhere like the blue bayou make sure to make a reservation in advance.i think it was like 60 days. Also getting the genie plus gives you access to the lightning lane witch makes the lines go by quicker sometimes so much quicker. I would highly recommend going to Disneyland it is such a fun experience.

Spent a wonderful time here with my partner on a very memorable vacation. We'd been able to do most of the park on our first day, but the second day allowed us to really explore the park and all it contained. Lines weren't terrible this time of year. Sometimes nearly able to walk on rides. Having the railway and monorail closed added to the foot traffic. Absolutely coming back.
Logan B — Google review
The lines are way shorter than any Disney park in Florida. The 2 parks were packed but enjoyable. I highly recommend getting a park hopper to truly enjoy the whole Disney experience as they have such fun and unique rides.

I visited Disneyland a couple of months ago with my family, opting for a mid-week visit to avoid the heavy weekend crowds. This strategy worked well, as the park was less crowded, allowing us to enjoy more attractions without extensive wait times. One tip I highly recommend is getting the Genie Pass. With the Disney app, you can schedule your next ride, maximizing the number of attractions you can experience during your visit. It made our day much smoother and more enjoyable. For families with babies, I would advise caution. The park can be very crowded, and little ones may not enjoy the hustle and bustle, potentially leading to a less enjoyable experience for parents as well.As for the food, Disneyland offers a variety of options. While the food is generally good, only certain places stand out for their exceptional quality. It's worth doing a bit of research or asking for recommendations to find these gems.My favorite rides included Pirates of the Caribbean, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, and the Haunted Mansion. Each of these attractions offers a unique and entertaining experience, perfect for both kids and adults.Overall, Disneyland remains a magical destination with a lot to offer. With a bit of planning and the right tools, you can make the most of your visit. I highly recommend it for a fun family outing, but with some considerations for those with very young children.

The Disneyland park is always clean and the cast members are usually nice. The parks were busy when I visited but it's almost always going to be busy. The things they sell are usually overpriced but it is a big tourist stop so it isn't surprising. The rides are fun but lines are super long and you have to pay for lightning lanes and such.

awesome!! lines were not long when we came, food tasted so good n lots of variety, and just so much fun all around. good experience to have, definitely plan beforehand what you’d like to see if it’s your first time visiting, but it’s definitely worth the visit for sure whatever you end up doing. Lots of different things to do for people of all ages to enjoy and relax. staff are always a delight and do their best to make your experience at disney great. it also always has the best atmosphere and people are so nice.

This place is truly magical. If you can get over the crowds, you really can have an amazing time. There are so many options for all ages as well as different themes and hobbies found within the park. It’s not just an amusement park, it really is an experience. I recommend purchasing a fast pass lane pass as well to make the day go even better. I love Disneyland!

Better than we had expected, thrilling for most ages, even our 22 and 18 year old daughters! We had a lightning lane/fast pass so we didn’t have to queue for more than 10 minutes per ride, but the queues without this pass seemed long - especially in the heat! Bring lots of water!

First time visitor. Be prepared to walk and wear good shoes including have patience waiting in lines, I would recommend purchasing the genie pass. Everything is very cute and fun. The Disneyland app also made it convenient to see wait times, navigate map, and check out food on the menu at the restaurants before ordering. Lots of cute photo opportunities. There’s something for every age group.Definitely did not make it to everyland and me and my family stayed at the park for 13+ hours.

Had a great time at Disneyland, took the whole family. The new app is great. You can order food and look to see how long the rides are and even book a ride the train is awesome as you can do less walking. Had a great time this year.
Gina A — Google review
Great experience I've been several times and this time is just as memorable as every other enjoyed the new rides sadly there is a REALLY long wait time expect some rides to be 1-2 hours long at times but majority can be quick 10-20 minute wait times this is without the Multi Pass add on. Spend a couple days like we did and really enjoy the whole park.

From the moment you step through the gates, the air is filled with excitement and joy. The enchanting atmosphere instantly transports you to a world of wonder. The lineup of rides is a perfect blend of recollections and cutting-edge thrills. Whether soaring through the skies on Space Mountain or sailing with pirates in the Caribbean, each ride brings back great memories.Meeting beloved Disney characters brought smiles to us. The joy of interacting with these iconic figures is an experience that stays with you long after you leave. The entertainment is nothing short of spectacular. From parades to live shows, every performance is a dazzling display of talent, color, and pure Disney magic.Don't even get me started on the food! From Mickey-shaped treats to gourmet delights, Disneyland offers a culinary adventure that caters to every palate. However, I always pack some snacks with me to much on while waiting in line.Kudos to the efficient operations. Despite the crowds, everything ran seamlessly, making the visit stress-free and enjoyable.

Truly a magical place !! I would recommend buying a genie pass especially if you have impatient kids :) there are always long lines for all rides. Beyond that whatever rides I could cover were all amazing. Parked in the toy story lot and betting in and out was quite hassle free with free shuttle service.

The booking at tickets was very easy and we made the decision to get the park hopper. I'm so glad we did because it was Pixar Fest and we spent the majority of our day over in Disney California Adventure. You download the app a couple days before your visit and day before you get access to all things Disney. It provides you the ride times, ability to mobile order food, and to view photos taken of you. The most pleasantly surprising thing about Disney is how clean the park is. They are constantly cleaning the park and the bathrooms so I was never worried about whether I'd run into a dirty bathroom. I would highly suggest going to rope drop if you want to get to your preferred ride first. Especially if it's Guardians of the Galaxy or the car ride. Worth riding them both at least once. By the time we got to the Disneyland side, we were exhausted. The star wars area is truly immersing yourself into that world. Even if you're not a star wars fan, it'll impress you! If I could do anything different, I would book 2 days to split up the parks. There's so much to see, it's impossible to fit it all into one day. Go at least once. It's worth it!
Caroline V — Google review
Not sure how this could be anything less than 5 stars. Of course it's crowded and I do mean crowded! But once you get used to the crowds, it's Disneyland! All the old favorites except one were a welcome memory and truly enjoyable. The Star Wars section of the park was something you must see if you even remotely like Star Wars. There isn't enough room here to describe that section of the park and setting all the exhibits in life size is an experience I will never forget and that I will think about often. The Rise of the Resistance ride is what I consider to be the best ride at the park and certainly worth the wait. It's like they spared no expense on this ride and again, if you like Star Wars this will leave you in complete awe of the experience and the atmosphere. Definitely 10 stars! With all the hype about the Haunted Mansion we were stoked to visit it but it really failed to live up to the hype and it was the one ride that left all of us who rode the original one disappointed. Other than that though it was a great experience and all of our little ones had a fantastic visit and time. California Adventure was less crowded and really is getting close to rivaling Disneyland in terms of the rides and attractions. The world of color show was fabulous and not only lived up to the hype but over delivered the experience. Of course the adults enjoyed the fact that alcohol is abundant throughout California Adventure. All in all everything was expensive in both parks but if you put a price on the experience, once again it was priceless and all our little ones had a glow on their faces that was well worth the money spent. Thank you Disney staff for once again showing why visiting the parks is the experience of a lifetime and creates memories that will last the same.

My favorite area is Star Wars land ❤️Can’t wait to go again!!’

One of the most magical places as they say. This place really hits home if you grew up around Disney movies and cartoons. The history behind this place is insane as well. Also the way Disneyland was structured based on Walt’s dreams of bringing an insight of parts of the world to people that can’t or haven’t been able to travel and now get to see a bit of what that place is like is just insane. Performances and ride experiences are top of the line and hard to beat. Extremely family oriented place as young as infants. Only downside is the high cost to visit Disneyland but aside from that it’s a phenomenal experience. Using the mobile app is going to give you the best advantage and also avoid peak times or popular times for best experience. The fast pass is worth it if you know how to manage it and parking is best at Mickeys structure. Feel free to contact for additional tips!!

Great experience, more stuff to do for adults in this side and more interaction with the characters. My kids enjoy Disneyland more they are in the 5-6 year old range. Yet they still enjoyed seeing the Marvel characters. Food was cool looking but was not that great, it lack freshness. I will stick with the normal vendors next time. All in all we had a great will definitely visit again since we have the yearly pass. Next time I will take better photos 😂

A Captivating Park You Won't Tire Of!Avengers Campus, a part of this remarkable park, promises endless excitement. I could easily spend my entire morning there. If you're a Marvel enthusiast, this is an absolute must-visit. The campus features a multitude of rides, with the standout being Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout. This ride ingeniously transformed the old Tower of Terror into Guardians and is undoubtedly the best attraction in both parks. For any Marvel or Guardians fan, this ride is a must. Even waiting in line is a treat, with plenty of entertainment and props to keep you engaged.Don't miss out on Cars Land either! The Cars ride sends you zooming around a high-speed circuit, and you'll often spot full-size Cars characters driving around the area. The California section is a delight, featuring the massive roller coaster, 'The Incredicoaster,' a giant Ferris wheel, a picturesque lake, and a variety of delectable food options. I highly recommend trying the mango beer, although be prepared for higher alcohol prices. Grabbing a hot dog on Main Street is also a wise food choice. We also had the pleasure of dining at 'Lamplight Lounge' on the pier, which is located at water level. We watched the captivating light show from this vantage point, an absolute must-see. We opted for this over the fireworks show. After experiencing both parks (Disneyland Resort and California Adventure), it's evident that California Adventure is the less crowded of the two. There's more space to wander around without feeling the same level of congestion as you might at Disneyland Resort.

We went on Monday Tuesday and Thursday. I was more pleased with Thursday due to it being less crowded in the parks. The Food and Wine Festival was happening at the same time we went and it did get crowded in some areas, but it was manageable. My sister told me it's better to go on Wednesday or Thursday for less crowds and Sunday is the worst day for crowds.

We enjoy our time here most by going on Soarin’ and the Radiator Springs Racers. We have the Magic Key so we get to visit as often as we want. But there are some things we’ve noted; We prefer riding the Radiator Springs Racers at sunset or when it’s dark. The ambiance is more enjoyable, at least for us. Also, we usually pay for Lighting Lane but the last time we tried the single rider lane- just to see if it was worth saving a few bucks.Of course, your group is separated when you do this but you still get to enjoy the ride. With that said, I still rather pay to sit with my family. But, we did have a conversation with a man who had a big family and he said it’s too expensive for so many people and I have to agree. So, depending on how big your group is and the cost that comes with that- the single rider lane will be much faster than the stand by lane.I only mentioned our two favorite rides but there’s plenty more to do here. Also, if you have interests in art I urge you to visit “Off the Page”, it’s a gallery where you can buy some really amazing pieces from some really talented artists (my favorite is Brett Owens). Some pieces are $$$ (mostly canvas) but you can always ask if they have the same piece in print or for even less, as a postcard. There’s so much more to discover here… so check it out!Enjoy your time here but please visit both parks if possible.

Everyone in our party loved it and was in complete awe. If you stand in front of the gates by little mermaid and wait it out you’ll get a great view!! And maybe even a little surprise fountain.

The park is fun but waiting in line for an hour and then the ride “ breaks down”makes it a nightmare and a waste of time. Disney of course takes no responsibility and or no compensation is offered to customers for time wasted. Overall the park is great and is well organized, if you don’t buy the lightning pass be ready to wait a list 1 hour in line for any of the rides. One start for clean bathrooms and some of the employees were really helpful.

There really isn't another theme park out there like a Disney park. They spare no expense, it's so very clean, the staff are all professional and well organized plus there's lots to do. It's crazy expensive from parking to entry to food to merch but our currency exchange sure doesn't do us any favors either. It's an easy place to visit again and again. You really can't knock it until you've tried it.They had just transitioned to Christmas when we arrived in late November...

Awesome Disney themed park right next to Disney. It's totally worth visiting on a different day than Disneyland. Many stand with really yummy food, desserts, drinks, wine & beers and cocktails.Has a bit of a "grown up" vibe but still really fun for the kids.Don't miss it, worth the extra day and the extra ticket.

Sadly, I found my visit to the Disney Calif. Adventure Park underwhelming.I've got to say the Incredicoaster was fantastic and ideal for thrill seekers. The Cars-themed area was also really amazing to look at - so, so realistic. All employees we encountered were helpful and enthusiastic and the Disneyland app helps to plan your day, plus there's maps and wait times on there too.Just like at many other theme parks, expect to spend many hours in lines for rides here, many which turn out not to be worth the wait. Even if you purchase Genie+, you can only choose a lightning lane once every couple of hours, and some rides have a separate lightning lane, which is just wrong when you've already paid extra. We chose to dine in at a cafe here which actually just turned out to be a Starbucks in disguise and was disappointing, though I probably should've looked into it a bit more.If you're a Disney fan, it's worth a visit. Although maybe you'd prefer Disneyland, which you can walk across to in a few minutes. However, if Disney isn't all that important to you, Universal Studios was a much better experience in my opinion.

Great park for families and movie lovers. Pixar pier, Avengers / Marvel and Cars sections were fantastic! Lots to see, characters walking around for photo ops, it was fantastic. Definitely recommmend getting the Lightning pass due to wait times, some rides had an over an hour wait.

The Downtown Disney District is a central attraction in Disneyland Resort that features shops, restaurants, and a movie theater. The district is open-air and decorated with Disney themed elements, making it an ideal place to spend a day while in Anaheim.
Even if you’re not going to the parks, you can still have a nice Disney day at the downtown district. I enjoyed browsing through all the merchandise and found a cute Haunted Mansion wallpaper dress. My only disappointment was that I couldn’t buy more stuff.

It's been four years since we last visited Downtown Disney. It's a fun area to hang out with the family. We did an 1 hr 15 minutes of bowling at Splitsville Luxury Lanes and we had a lot of fun. They charge $25 dollars a person. Their drinks and food was really good compared to other bowling places. There is a waiting period to get your bowling lanes so we went shopping around to kill time. Grabbed some Starbucks drinks and all was good. The only downside is that there were a lot of people. A bit overcrowded. Oh! Don't forget to validate your parking ticket. If you spend $20 dollars you get 3 free hours of parking or just eat at one of their restaurants validate it and you get 5 hours free parking. Enjoy!

If you guys a Disneyland lovers , you probably have been here.. It's a great walk, it's wonderful. If you want a quick Disney taste, food, and even soccer apparel.. I definitely recommend..

Having this area connect both DCA and Disneyland makes the day that much better. There are lots of different shops and food options throughout the area that makes it hard to chose! Overall, I love the options that are offered here and always look forward to going here before or after the parks.
Kyle M — Google review
I loved it. There are a lot of restaurants to eat while you shop. The prices are outrageous for everything. Beautiful gardens. Is not a miniature Disneyland like people told me. There are no amused games there. Just be ready to walk, eat, and shop. It's free to enter. Take your parking ticket with you because if you purchase something inside, they validate it, and you pay less. If you are going to Disneyland Park, you can take the trolley that takes you there.

If you’re on the hunt for new merch, or want to enjoy a meal near the parks, visit Downtown Disney!Stores appeared to carry many of the same items, but if one store runs out, tell a Cast Member what you’re looking for and they’ll happily help track it down at another shop and hold it for you!For merchandise, World of Disney and Disney Home seemed busiest/most popular. For food, everywhere seemed consistently busy, so make a reservation or take your chances on a walk-up. There’s a good variety of restaurants and types of foods varying in price ($10-$30+ per person).Downtown Disney is ever-growing, it feels safe, inviting, and is very clean despite consistent construction!

Very cool place! I’d been here before years ago. World of Disney has a great selection of Disney merchandise. There’s great food options here as well!
Jennifer T — Google review
Very interesting experience here. A lot of shops, restaurants and places where you can have a drink, chill out. Almost fully crowded all the time. You can also buy some Souvenirs here and you do not need to have a ticket in order to get access.
Daniele B — Google review
Very clean and safe. I'm really glad that you have to go to security first in order to get in this area. You do not need a theme park ticket at all so don't get confused. Great place to eat but it is very pricey overall. This is a great place to go if you still need to get gifts for friends and family but you don't have tickets to get back into California adventure or the Disneyland theme park
Garrett G — Google review
Really cool experience. Parking cost about $10 if you purchase something inside. The only bad thing that I can say is that there aren't many exits, so when it's time to leave there sometimes is a very big line to exit, so I would recommend to leave a little earlier before the place closes so you aren't stuck in the parking lot waiting to exit!

Busy street packed like a black Friday deal. Earl sandwich is good. Napoli pizza restaurant is expensive and not authentic Italian food. You can see the fireworks best spot is by the Disney trading pin area.

Busy, fun place. Wear a hat & sunblock. Many shops to visit. We got a fantastic breakfast burrito 🌯 (don't have cafe name) at a place with no indoor sitting.

I took the whole family to Disney and everyone loved it! Its so much easier than when I came when I was a kid because we didn't have phones to use apps and it was so much easier to plan the trip with that! I do suggest that you get a portable charger because of it!

If you like Disney, and malls, and good food... it's worth the stop. No crazy Disneyland lines if you're just looking for some merch. The Lego store here is top tier and now the district has a Salt and Straw. If you like ice cream and have never been there, you need to change that.

Experience Disneyland magic while shopping. Such a fun spot.Parking on 06/20/2024 was $10 for the first hour and then $14 every hour after unless you spend $20 then you can get a validation from the retailer for two hours.

What a fantastic experience. Downtown Disney is a wonderful experience, neat shops - from the Disney store, to LEGO store, Star Wars Trader post, great restaurants, breweries and more! You wont want to miss a trip down here!
Timothy W — Google review
Good place to find food & shopping with Disney flare (no admission needed). Prices are slightly above normal due to proximity to the park. Not all merchants have Disney theming, but the common areas do. It can even have fun food options from the park including holiday, special event or limited time items.
Cosmo G — Google review
It's ok, but it feels like there isn't much to it compared to Disney Springs in FL. Mostly food places, with a couple of souvenir shops and an art gallery. Nothing exciting, in my opinion, but there were some fun picture spots.

Not quite what I had expected. It wasn't crowded and the atmosphere was very different from Disneyland and Disney CA Adventure. Enjoyed the Starbucks, beignets and a few of the Disney stores but decided to eat elsewhere.

The Queen Mary is an iconic ocean liner that has played a major role in maritime history since its construction in the 1930s. With a fascinating history dating back to the Depression era, the luxurious ship sailed across the Atlantic with celebrities and royalty including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and Winston Churchill between 1936 and 1967. Today, it attracts tourists with its Art Deco interior, fine dining options, pools, and spa.
My child and I visited for a tour and also had a meal at the Promenade Cafe. There was a lot of great history to see. The food and view at the Cafe were excellent. My child enjoyed the self guided tour best, but was very happy to see the parts that aren’t generally available. The posters, names, and other information around the ship also helped me to explain the history to her and the significance of such ships during their heyday. It was a great experience :)

This review is a reflection of our Haunted tour and walking the ship. We have been here a dozen times prior to COVID, and this was a good comparison visit. While they only reopened a year or so ago, we were a bit underwhelmed. The haunted tour was a huge disappointment and certainly not worth the price of admission and did not compare to the tours of prior years. No real special access nor do you go to the pool area - you have to spend a lot more for that tour. The biggest issue for us, lack of food offerings. On one end is the marketplace with coffee, danishes or a blueberry pop tart. The other option was the sit-down restaurant with $30 entrees. Nothing in-between. No pizza slices, hot dogs, etc. They got rid of those. We opted to leave and visit a real restaurant locally, instead.Staff was OK, though several did not speak English and could offer any help to us for directions. We left not wanting to return, which is too bad given how much we enjoyed our visits before.

What an amazing place to stay! Wow you can stay in history! My family was leaving on a cruise the next day and this was the perfect starting point for our vacation. You can check out and walk right on over to the Carnival Cruise port. It has been three weeks and my son still wants to go back! Thank you for preserving this historic ship!

A must visit if staying in longbeach. Admission is only $45pp and includes one tour of your choice, however you are free to stay there all day. Staff are super helpful and very knowledgeable about the boat and history. Our tour guide for the engine room was incredible, you could tell the guides love their job. Will certainly consider staying in the hotel for future visits. I only had a short window (couple of hours) to visit, would recommend half a day on the boat.

Words alone cannot fully give justice to the authenticity, the rich history and romance my wife and I experienced staying aboard this gorgeous hotel. We were greeted on 'A' deck which is the original first class entrance by the sound of time period music playing in the background. The refreshingly friendly knowledgable and helpful staff were eager to accommodate and assist us. Our room was quiet, spacious and exceptionally comfortable and our view of the Long Beach harbor was nothing short of spectacular night and day. The on board dining was first class and the staff even sang to my wife as her birthday was our special occasion. We could not have asked for a more picture perfect experience. I could go on for pages but I think you get the idea. Suffice it to say we will be making our Queen Mary stay an annual affair.

We stayed here in February 2024. Incredible history behind this ship. Stateroom was clean and very quaint! A little warm at first but It got cooler and we had no problems sleeping thru the night. We ate at the breakfast buffet the next morning. Not a huge selection of food but its breakfast so not a problem. The price was a little high but we paid for it and I'm not complaining. If you are cruising out of the Carnival Cruise port you can literally walk to the cruise terminal.

This ship was incredible!! We spent almost the entire day exploring her and would have stayed longer but we were getting hungry. Lol, yes, there is a place to eat but it was more like appetizers and we ate there earlier. Food was excellent!! Service was outstanding and everyone who worked on the ship was friendly and very helpful.

The ship tours are wonderful but after one we had to stay the night. We went back for an overnight and were not disappointed. We did 2 different tours during our overnight since they are deeply discounted with the stay. Along with our walking around on our own we got too see most of the ship, which is great. It's amazing how the opulent decor made it through everything the ship endured. The room lived up to our expectations. It was a wonderful step back in time. Dinner at the Chelsea was great. The breakfast buffet at the Promenade the next morning was handy since we had a tour scheduled and didn't have to wait for food. Parking is very handy. Everyone we spoke to that worked there was extremely helpful and courteous. The customers in the bar in period dress that were there for the live band were fun to see. Its a great history lesson along with a fun time!

We came here for the Royal Brunch Buffet.$98 per adult totally worth it !!!Service was outstanding, Jose and Pascual were our servers.Bottomless mimosas and the food was outstanding. It was a great variety of different food from different countries. The atmosphere was outstanding and you can’t beat the live Jazz band.We took a nice walk around the ship to explore the museum and we came across the Chelsea Bar where our bartender Jose Gomez provided an outstanding service and he made the best margaritas. Overall my experience was great and would highly recommended to anyone who loves History, Food, and Mimosas!!!

The coolest hotel experience! I loved it. It was like sleeping in a museum. The room was just fine. It was plenty comfortable, but just not the ritz. Overall, if you appreciate history or nostalgia stay the night here. Also, there is a cool little boat ferry for 1 dollar that brings you across the harbor to downtown LB. And that is way cool too. Two thumbs up!
Eric S — Google review
Very unique experience. There was a big TV and plenty of outlets in the room. Lots of tours to choose from, our ghost tour didn't produce anything but it was a great experience anyway. Plenty of walking on deck and even though the site reads, business casual for the Chelsea Chowder house, it's casual dining. Four of us spent around $250.00 for dinner and I was the only one drinking the local beers (3). The salmon was outstanding and totally worth the experience. All the food was great, including the Promenade for all you can eat breakfast ($28) per person. Great selection and great coffee, and again, it was the experience of being on the ship, overlooking Pike's place and the ocean. We loved it, would like to go back. Also, so many places are nearby to shop and eat as well.

A must-see for anyone in the area. A living museum with a storied past. I highly recommend staying on-board to get the complete experience, but at a minimum, at least visit the beautiful art deco Observation Bar and take a lap around the Promenade Deck, including all the exhibits.

Loved the food, the view and the beauty of this grand ship! Had a mother son date! Book your reservation to eat at the Promenade Cafe & get on boat for free! We took our teenage kids and someFriends on the Haunted Encounters tour and we had so much fun! Our kids loved the ghost stories but we also just enjoyed walking around the ship afterwards to explore its history. You are able free access to explore a lot of the ship on your own including the engine room and infirmary. They have a Starbucks coffee shop on board and we were able to carry our drinks with us on the tour. We ate at the restaurant on board as well and the food was amazing!!! They also have cute shops if you want any memorabilia. We spent about 5 hours total on the ship and then went to the beach afterwards! It made for a fun and new vacation experience and was an easy drive from Disneyland (about 40 min).

We had such a great experience on the ship! It was beautiful and relaxing. Spending the night isn’t for everyone, I wouldn’t recommend taking children unless they love historic places or ships. We had a room with port holes on the starboard side so we had a great view of the harbor. The walls in the room are thin as this is an old ship but going in knowing this, helped us to not be bothered if we happened to hear our neighbors. Great food, great bar, we loved it!

Really liked it!! The tours are fun, the submarine outside is interesting to walk through and the city around you is vibrant. Small rooms, but you're on a 1930's ship so what do you expect. 5-star for a great experience.

I would recommend doing any type of tour of the ship if you can. We did the Paranormal Ship walk, it was so fun! Our tour guide Gil was awesome, I felt like he was very informative and did a great job of entertaining us during the whole tour.
Andrea — Google review
It's a little bit of a journey to get there, but once you're there, you can easily spend hours just wandering the ship, with or without a tour guide! We took the haunted encounter tour, which no, is not the same thing as paranormal encounter, but is still fun nonetheless! The tour guide informed us of the rich history all over the ship, where there's plenty! It kind of has it all!We didn't stay there, as it also serves as a hotel, but we would like to stay a night the next we're in the area for sure.Definitely fun and interesting for the whole family 👍
Sam D — Google review
They say this ship is haunted but the only bumps in the middle of the night came from neighbors in all directions as well as their "ghostly wails" through the paper thin walls... every single night. Our choices for food were at the Promenade Cafe and the Chowder hall, there's no complimentary breakfast so expect to pay anywhere from $60-$160 if two people are eating every visit. (With tip)We stayed for 7 days. I would recommend making this a same day trip as you'll still have time in the day after seeing all of the ship either through a self tour or guided tour. I would have much rather learned about its voyages or the transport of service members during WW2 than this spooky ghost stuff.Arrived a few hours prior to check in and the front desk said the room would be put on priority service so we could get situated which.. didn't really happen except 20 minutes prior to the actual check in that was at 4 pm. During the actual check in I was told there would be an additional $100 dollars for every night for either a service fee or so guests don't destroy the rooms as well as an additional historical preservation fee throughout our stay. They also let us know that the AC wasn't strong but there was a fan in the room (that didn't work).Surprised by a fire on our Level on Monday. With a followup test on Wednesday.Don't ask me what the white residue on the wall comes from because I have no idea.

Brunch on board the Queen Mary was excellent. Included with brunch was parking, and access to walk around the ship. We played games in the game room, exercised on equipment after brunch. The brunch was very good. Had king crab legs, eggs, there was an omelet bar, plenty of delicious fresh cut fruit, pasta dishes, asian cuisine and more. Guacamole was excellent, tasted freshly made. Not a drinker - but there was champagne available for additional price. The room was very spacious, and not crowded at 10 am when we ate. Will definitely go again.

There are also touch tanks for kids to explore, as well as educational programs for all ages.
Great experience! This is a beautiful location right near the pier at Long Beach. My six-year-old had a great time. It does get very crowded on the weekends. Scuba Café had great food. They have a lot of wheelchairs for rent and I was surprised to see luggage! They will hold luggage for you on a first come first serve basis if you’re coming to or from the airport.

This place is an amazing experience. It's totally worth the ticket price. It has plenty of interactive activities and lots of different fish to see. The staff is very friendly and ready to answer any questions. There are a lot of zones to explore most kid friendly. They will validate the parking, and you can also spend time walking around the marina. You will have a lot of fun here, and your kids will love it!

A great experience with the kids. Highly recommend attending the theater shows during the visit. We also thoroughly enjoyed the interaction attractions throughout. After the aquarium we meandered around the boardwalk and there were great things there as well! Definitely a full day's worth of a visit.

What a staple of all things marine life! Diverse exhibits, plenty of interactive touch tanks, shows, and events. All of the employees were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits and animals.*They have a dedicated parking garage - make sure to get your ticket validated before exiting the facility so it’s only $8.

Me and my good friend had a great time here. We’re excited to see the seals!! They’re adorable and cute! I’m also surprised by the interactive activities here like jellyfish lab and ray touch lab. I’ve never had any experience to have a close look of these species. It’s so interesting. We are also expressed by the bird zone and also the sea otters. Everything here is very cute!

Amazing place and a wealth of info. Android how they had staff members around the facility explaining how jellyfish work or turtles work or sea kelp. Her granddaughters had a blast here. they were able to pet the jellyfish, stingrays and sharks. There is even example of how the waterways work in LA. My granddaughter absolutely love that.... So curious about how the water goes out into the ocean. What a blast they had.

I hadn't visited this aquarium in years and noticed that the admission price has increased to $44.95. I visited on a Sunday afternoon, and parking was a bit challenging to find. Inside, it was quite crowded, but I decided to make the best of it. Grabbed a coffee ($5.99) and an iced tea ($5.49) from the Blue Whale Café; they only offer one size, which seemed to be around 12 oz—perfectly fine. Despite the crowd, it was enjoyable to see all the marine life. They do offer parking validation at the exit, so don’t forget to get it validated before you leave. I’d definitely visit again, but probably not on a weekend.

They validate parking, which is cool, but it's still $8. They are a lot of things, it was my 1st time here and I didn't know there were so many interactive things, from petting sharks, to feeding jellyfish, the cutest otters and seals ... but my all-time favorite was the lorikeets. if I had known they close the lorikeet early I would have went there 1st. I could stay all day in there with them they are so friendly adorable and inquisitive. I want... no i needs one. Next time I'm going on the harbor cruise too. There was so much to see and do there. I would definitely recommend going at least 1x.

**Dive Into Family Fun: A Review of the Local Aquarium**If you're looking for the perfect spot to spend a day with the family, the local aquarium is a must-visit destination. With a stunning array of aquatic exhibits, this place offers a mesmerizing glimpse into the underwater world, captivating visitors of all ages. However, be prepared for the possibility of crowds, especially during peak times.Planning your visit in advance is crucial for a smooth experience. We made the mistake of attending during a special event, which led to heavy traffic and street closures—definitely something to keep in mind. Despite these challenges, our time at the aquarium was filled with wonder and joy, making it a memorable outing. In summary, this aquarium is a fantastic choice for a family day trip. With a bit of planning, you’re sure to create unforgettable moments as you explore the fascinating marine life together!

I love this aquarium so much. I had to share this experience with my 2 y.o., so we flew back to Cali. She was in awe and excitement. Parking was easy (make sure to get validated before leaving the aquarium) ; we got there around 9 am on a Monday, so it wasn't busy.I enjoyed the little presentations that were put on by staff; very knowledgeable staff. Please visit and donate to the aquarium if you can.

Such an amazing aquarium! It really feels magical and mystical when you walk around. They have a lot of opportunities to touch and feel different types of fish. There is so much to do and so much to see. They have great diversity in their wildlife and it seems like they do a fantastic job maintaining and up keeping the exhibits. The gift shop is also really cute and has great items!

We saw a sick fish and notified the staff asap, and they were extremely kind and concerned they immediately went to the location and took photos and and said they would get the little guy or gal some help. All the employees showed genuine care and love for their job and animals it was so nice to see that. Definitely would be back but maybe on a weekday there was so many kids! On Sunday in the summer time 😅

You must buy tickets ahead of time online in order to reserve a time of entry. Do not wait to buy them the day of, at the very least buy your tickets the day before you plan to go. I suggest going either as early as possible or later in the day to try avoiding the rush of young families (if you're going to go on the weekend). If you park in the parking garage, you can get your parking validated inside at a self scan kiosk once you walk in. Makes parking $8 instead of the full price, so definitely remember to do that before leaving. They had all kinds of different animals to check out and some interactive parts that were fun for all ages. You can paint your own AI creature (meant for kids but it was cool). Be aware that it can get cold inside but warm outside where the birds and sea lions are located. Also note that there are stairs. Elevators are available but tend to get crowded and busy due to people with strollers. Overall very fun and informative. Makes for a fun date or nice family activity. Would definitely recommend checking out the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.

Not much to see as you can only walk around with your child. A bit of rude kids that will try to push or step on another kids hands, so be careful to watch your child because some parents are ok with it and will act like they didn’t see it happen. It was so hot and what sucks is that there was no shades or anywhere too sit other than the inside restaurants.Bring snacks and drinks because food is way overpriced. Parking was awful but I think little ones will enjoy the trip.

The fish and other animals is what we enjoyed the most at the Aquarium. But there are some down sides. This place hasn’t been remodeled in a while now. I hope it’s safe for the animals.Bring your own snacks and drinks as they have HUGE prices for these things. At the same time the pastry wasn’t fresh at all.But the worst thing happened at the children’s playground. I sat on “a shark” and the boy next to me literally drenched me with “Octopus water”. The water was very cold and didn’t smell good. My dress was completely soaked. I just sat there in the Sun waiting for it to dry off. The kid’s mom apologized and said that they didn’t know the water goes that way. I was very cold. Please put up some kind of sign there so that people will know.I got sick after visiting the aquarium but I also want to say again that the fish are truly beautiful.

This is a good place to visit on vacation just like I did. It is a little smaller than other aquariums I have been to but costs the same; so that is why I rated it four stars. It is very busy, but not too busy where everything is blocked from viewers. The parking is not expensive and there are other things to do around the area. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. You can pet sharks and manta rays and even watch seals. Since I love animals I would go back.

10/10, definitely recommend! Great activity for family with or without kids. There is so much to see, amazing exhibitions. Great facilities. Just make a day out of it.The bathrooms are good. There is a nursing and changing room on the first floor bathrooms. There should be more stalls considering the amount of traffic they get.The whole place is wheelchair accessible. I wish there was a large octopus though, thats the only thing they didn't seem to have. The surrounding area is so picturesque and serene as well. You can picnic and just relax if you want.

The Catalina Casino features a movie theater on its lower level, offering patrons a serene space to view new releases. Constructed in the 1920s, the casino's architecture is stunning and well-preserved. The theater and ballroom are particularly impressive, with the former designed to distribute sound evenly throughout without requiring microphones. Tickets for movies can be purchased at the casino itself, though visitors should note that navigating through multiple ramps is necessary.
Very cool to learn the history of the town. Definitely, a place to stop and visit if you're visiting the island. Can't ruin the surprise but the theater was amazing! The price Is worth the experience. And the historian was knowledgeable and seemed to love the town.We stopped here as part of the cruise. Was a short walk from the docs. Looks far but with so much to see on the walk there, definitely glad we walked and not rented a golf cart.

A very interesting and historic tour. A bit like stepping back in time. You can definitely tell they were showing off their wealth and the building is still in such an amazing condition even with its age. We took the VIP tour and it was nice to see everything in person vs on a video and be able to ask questions. Pro tip: leave an hour to get the full experience and take your time on the top floor as the view is spectacular and there is an amazing breeze.

It's not a casino. it's a historic building that has a theater where movies are shown or different events are held. It also has a viewing point at the top where you can see views of the island. It also has a dance hall.

If you're going to visit Catalina Island this is a must tour. It is not a gambling casino. It is a gathering anyone who was anyone during the 30s '40s and '50s was here. Bands were broadcast around the world from here. It was built in 1928 by William Wrigley Jr. It is absolutely an amazing tour, I've taken it at least a half dozen times... It never gets old

Incredible and breathtaking! There is a gorgeous theatre on the first floor with artistically painted murals in art deco style and the most beautiful circular ballroom overlooking the ocean (perfect for events); It is like being inside of a dream or fairytale! I highly recommend taking a tour inside the Casino - it is definitely worth it…

Great place to visit for a day or stay, there’s a lot to do but if I may suggest, bring snacks and drinks with you since the food is extra expensive because of the added freight by boat to the island. Than later have a meal at the Avalon shore, there are so many good restaurants to choose from with different cuisine, souvenirs shops, trailer/Bus tours, or you can rent a golf cart, electric bikes, walk?Have a great time!

We took the VIP tour and I highly recommend it. Wanda was our guide and she told us so many interesting facts and stories. She even sang for us. The views were amazing.

This place is facinating. It is a place that you could actually stand and just imagine the ballroom dancing. The big windows that open and have that warm ocean breeze. The views are spectactular. A must to see if you go to the island.

Such a beautifully well preserved piece of early 1900’s history. Well worth the walk (or cart ride) to see the theater and casino ballroom. Do the self guided tour inside and enjoy strolling through the theater, and make your way up the series of (somewhat steep) ramps to the top — the views are incredible!
Mike M — Google review
Highly reccomend! I loved sitting in the theater watching the little videos they had playing, and watching a video of Catalina's history in the bar. The ballroom is also absolutely stunning, not to mention the wrap around balcony with gorgeous views of the town. I think that area really has the best views of the Avalon. The only thing is that instead of having stairs to get up anywhere, there are somewhat steep concrete ramps. Heels are very much not reccomended on those. Totally worth the 20 dollars, not to mention amazing wind that blows up at you while you're on the balcony. Very refreshing for a hot day. At 5 o'clock you can watch all the boats honking from the balconies. Bathrooms were pretty clean, and you can come in and out of the Casino all day until 5 as long as you still have your ticket.

Visiting the Catalina Island Casino while in Avalon is a must do at least once. It’s an absolutely beautiful and interesting building from a long ago era and it’s well maintained. If you do a self guided tour there isn’t much in the way of informational signage to learn more about the history, but it’s still cool to see. There are even interesting old-timey bathrooms on the upper levels that are worth checking out. It’s a bit pricey and you likely won’t spend more than an hour walking around.
Reed B — Google review
It's alright. Not much to it. You walking and that's the theater. Off to the sides are ramps to the ballroom. The balcony wraps around the whole building. That was the best part. It was $20. I was solo so $20 was fine. But I wouldn't take my whole family. I for sure wouldn't take my kids. It was just a 10 minute walk around the building. Good place to take pictures of Catalina.

Beautiful. Highly recommend the guided tour. The tour gives you so much information about the casino itself as well as the island. It really helped me appreciate the value of the island and was fascinating. The inside is absolutely stunning.

A remarkable gift to the world from the Wrigley Family, curator Sean, and the tremendous people of Avalon! Never a gambling casino, rather, this century old historic movie and performance theatre and enormous penthouse ballroom are jaw-dropping and exquisite. We were fortunate to have curator Sean as our VIP Tour guide, and he was phenomenal. Sean’s nearly 20 year experience as curator and obvious love for this treasure made this hour tour THE HIGHLIGHT of our 2 night stay of the island. The only thing that could possibly even be improved would be to link the regular and VIP tours directly on to 3rd party websites like TripAdvisor, etc., as I almost didn’t see these tours were available, although that could have changed the intimate and attentive nature of the experience. A serious MUST DO for anyone who visits Avalon, even for a day. Thank you Sean and Wrigley Family for this unique and stunning time capsule and gem!

Interesting history, design, paintings, and all 3 floors still being used. Actively used movie & concert theater, & a 3rd floor Ballroom capacity of about 1,500 people still used for Gala's & gatherings. The William Wrigley background is fascinating especially that he brought his Chicago Cubs there for 30 years of Spring Training.

Beautiful place that has been very well preserved. You really feel like you're stepping back in time about 100 years. Guided VIP backstage tour is well worth it! We had Rebecca and she is very energetic and passionate about the casino. Such a lovely woman, I could've listened to her tell stories for another hour. Seeing the projection room on the VIP tour with the original projectors was awesome. The green rooms where the bands used to get ready was also really neat.

Sometimes, you never really appreciate what is in your own backyard. While on a Princess Cruise, one of our ports of call was Catalina Island. I haven't been there since I was 6, even though I live in the OC! I have never been inside the Casino! It is truly beautiful! The theater on the lower level with pipe organ, the mezzanine level has a video presentation about the history of the Casino, and there is a semi steep incline walk up to the Avalon Ballroom. So worth it for me! There is no gambling, but they still show movies and have events in the ballroom.

$20 walk-around admission seemed a bit pricey, but I splurged. Lots of photographic interest! And plenty of history here, movies, Hollywood, etc. if these interest you, it's worth the price.

Museums
Perched atop Mount Hollywood, Griffith Observatory is a stunning art deco landmark dating back to 1935. It offers breathtaking city views and is a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The observatory boasts a high-tech planetarium and provides public telescopes for stargazing. It's also famous for its appearance in the award-winning film La La Land. Additionally, visitors can enjoy hiking trails leading to the observatory, with opportunities to witness panoramic vistas of downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica.
Spectacular trails, even better views and a very educational Observatory. To note, the Observatory is extremely costly as far as food is concerned. If hiking I'd pack a light lunch in a backpack and eat on the grass when you get to the Observatory. If driving up just pack a picnic and enjoy the views. As well, some people don't want to obey leash laws and I've encountered more than a few untrained and unleashed dogs running up and around the trails. I almost tripped over a few smalls ones that for some reason wanted to stay at my feet. Also, it can get really crowded and stuffy inside the main lobby of the Observatory so just a few minor inconveniences to keep in mind. That said, the pros FAR outweighs the cons. Thank you to all respectful and responsible pet owners. 🫶 Bring your cameras or fully charged phones for some great pics and a trail with steady incline and breathtaking views for all the hikers. Great educational experience for your children at the Observatory with Griffith Park right around the corner.

This place offers beautiful views of L.A. Most people go there and there are many tourists. I recommend driving as far up as possible. So you can get the closest parking to pay along the side. This way you won't have to walk up as far as it is very hot in August. There is disabled parking further up inside. It is a small place but filled with lots of interesting facts and information. Disguise the limit. galaxy.. Is stars and formations. It was short and it was nice to be able To squeeze this in your agenda.I recommend either doing this for something in the morning.Or perhaps in the evening if you want the beautiful off night views.

Bring your walking/ hiking shoes and gallon of water. There are trails that allow you to walk up. If you prefer for a fee, there is parking up top near the observatory. It is free to walk around in. There is plenty to learn and look at. They also offer different shows for a fee and specific times. It is a tourist favorite so always plenty of people. The view is beautiful.

Great place to visit and at a beautiful location. Wonderful views of sunset and LA city. The problem is that it was way too crowded. We spent almost an hour ti reach up top and find a parking spot. The management needs to do a better job in managing crowds and cars. The planetarium was really cool to see. I would recommend reaching couple hrs before sunset so that you get enough time to park and grab a spot to see the sun go down 🌅

This was so much more than expected. We went to simply get a view of the Hollywood sign...but then spent 2 hours exploring the exhibits, seeing a real telescope, eating in the cafe and buying cool stuff in the gift shop. And the views, the endless amazing views!!!The drive to the top takes a while, but it's worth it. Parking is tricky. There's tons of parking along the hill (mountain?) side for $10 per hour. You could end up hiking for 20+ minutes back up to the oberservatory though. We drove straight to the very top and found a tightly spaced paid lot. It was the same $10 per hour. The spaces are tight though. Don't try with anything bigger than a Nissan Rogue.Highly recommend!
Randy C — Google review
One of the most interesting locations in my LA trip. Definitely advised. Although parking may be tricky since we had to take a shuttle to the location while there are many parking spots available. You can spend here 1-2 hours easily. I can only say that the historic videos could use a renovation.

After visiting California countless times, I finally made it here! I don't remember when I went but we had to park a far way down the hill, and basically hike up to the observatory. It was fine, because we needed the exercise, and when we were leaving it was all downhill. The building and the architecture itself is beautiful. The grounds are kept well, and the views are stunning- it's the same view you see in all those movies! There was plenty to look at and I was never bored- even when waiting in line for the planetarium. We walked the entire grounds and didn't miss a thing, and did it in less than a couple hours. I've only been at night, but I am sure the hiking must be wonderful during the day.

📸 I just discovered the best views of Los Angeles thanks to @getyourguide!Did you know that the iconic Griffith Observatory has been captivating visitors since 1935? Nestled in the hills overlooking LA, the Griffith Observatory is not just a beautiful architectural gem but also a hub of scientific discovery and celestial wonder. Despite knowing this city very well, I gained more knowledge and appreciation for it on this guided tour. What I love about booking with is the seamless experience they always provide. From knowledgeable guides who share captivating stories to insider access to the best views of the city and beyond, I recommend any of their experiences. Can’t wait to share more of my LA adventures with you this month!

Really cool place lots of information about stars and the galaxy. Great views of the city and the sign. But the best of the Tesla coil and the run it a few times a day! Make sure to take the free shuttle from the lower parking lot to the top, limited paying parking at the top, and a really big hill to walk to the top. Lots of nice hiking trails around also!

Griffith observatory one of my favorite places to go with friends, & family. I have been going to here since high school. Now I’m an adult and I am still coming over here. They have so much to offer and you get to learn about the galaxy and even the stars. Remind me of the tv show big bang theory. First time coming here in 2010 for high school field trip. Then I have came here over at least once a year for the past 14 years. One of the most active places to go to in Los Angeles. You get to look over the whole city very beautiful during the day and night time. I highly recommend coming here at least once.

Super clean, kid-friendly, and the staff is great. The shuttles are free and always on time. I’d recommend taking the shuttle instead of hunting for parking (even though there were plenty of spots on a Sunday). The observatory is awesome—especially the basement with all the info about different planets. For photos, the roof is the spot to be.

A must see place when visiting LA. It has one the most spectacular city view. Place is magical specially if you see during sunset. We were visiting city for a day and happen to be there when a Greek event was going on in the lower parking area. So traffic everywhere and cars hardly moving, we initially thought to park at the top but while getting there decided to park in lower parking. It was $50 parking, from there we hiked up 15 min about quarter mile to the top.Parking was worth it as we reached a bit before sunset. Place was crowded but for obvious reasons. Majestic view of LA city from above and Hollywood sign view, although not so clear due to haze. Sunset over the mountain was so surreal. As sky grew darker, city was shimmering with lights as far as you can see. We spent about 30 min indoor but more is suggested. There were excellent displays like 3D relative view of planets, seasons, on earth were well explained for kids or anyone to learn.Outside in the front lawn of observatory there were many high end telescopes setup for viewing for closeup look at moon, sun etc. Some had steps for younger kids to watch, all free for anyone and run by volunteers. Hope you enjoy as well.

The observatory is awesome! There’s a mini free space museum inside the main building, whose exhibits showcase various things involving planets, stars, and sun / moon eclipses. It definitely gets crowded and hot, so remember your sunscreen and water bottle! There are restrooms both inside and outside the observatory, which are convenient. We definitely recommend watching one of the shows in the planetarium, it was our favorite part! We watched the classic planetarium show, about our place in the universe, and it took us through a history of astronomy. It was probably the best planetarium show I’ve ever seen. They have other newer shows that look cool too!The surrounding parks and nature trails also offer beautiful views and are worth a visit if you want a stroll (however, be warned that you will get baked by the sun on most of these no shaded trails). On a clear day, you can see all the way to downtown LA, and the Hollywood sign too. It would be a great place to go for a picnic family hike, plenty of trails with all kinds of length and difficulty. The greenery and wildlife are absolutely stunning, and overall it’s just a very iconic view of the city.

With a fantastic command of the whole city, this marvellous architectural feat is a sight to behold. It has scenery in any direction and has walking and biking trails. There is vehicle parking at the top and on the hill although I can only imagine how busy it must get during the weekend and peak times. The views enough are worth the trek up.

The observatory offers a great view of LA. It's a must visit. Both during day and night.A few things..1. Parking is 10 dollars per hour. So expensive! The admission itself is free.2. Restrooms are available, in the parking lot and in the building3. Too many people- it's packed. Inside and outside the building, people everywhere4. Gift shop has nothing to buy5. Great view of the Hollywood sign6. If you come between 7pm and 9pm, you can see the sky in the observatory deck

Great place to visit.Parking is ten bucks at the top of the hill. We paid twenty, parked at the 0.5miles away parking lot,and walked up.This is an awesome interactive place. You can touch a piece of Mars, see how much you weigh on other planets, program in and watch simulation of a meteor hitting various geographical locations.Watch the Tesla coil turn on unplugged light bulbs, and many other interactive activities. There are plenty of clean bathrooms,a gift shop,a little indoor cafeteria available. We had a great visit, with many great views. This place is a must visit at least one, type of place.Absolutely had the best day ever. The staff were all friendly, helpful. Except the parking attendants at the 0.5 mile mark, they just want your money, ignore them, park up the hill for less money.

It was very interesting to visit this place. We went there to see the Hollywood sign and take a picture but there was very nice by itself. You see the whole of LA from there. A lot of useful information about the Earth and stars and sun and seasons and many more. We went to one of the telescopes a saw Venus, it was interesting to see Venus with one of the oldest telescopes. The sunset was magnificent and I highly recommend this place.

Great place to visit for beautiful views. Fun outing for any trip. Parking can be tough, and will require an uphill hike to reach the top. Be mindful of the weather and wear proper attire and shoes. Not too crowded on a Saturday when we went. Good spot for pictures with the Hollywood sign.

We were there during the summer in August. The views were spectacular and so beautiful!! Parking was hard to find. Drove around and around for an hour to get into the main parking lot. They blocked off the entrance to the parking when it was full. So make sure you get there early, like 2 hours early if you want to catch the sunset. Great place to see the Hollywood sign as well. Lots of cool stuff to see. Lineups are long for the telescope. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Located atop Mount Lee in Griffith Park, the Hollywood Sign is a world-famous symbol of the entertainment industry that offers impressive views from official viewpoints. If you have the time, make sure to stick around for both sunset and dusk at Griffith Observatory, which is a fun experience to witness.
I finally made it to the Hollywood sign, Snapped some awesome pics and videos too. It's quite a distance from the snapshot, but it's a major tourist attraction with lots of people visiting! The Hollywood sign is such an iconic symbol of Los Angeles, and the views from up there must be breathtaking. It's great that you got to experience it firsthand! Keep those memories close!

The Hollywood Sign is an iconic symbol of the entertainment industry and the city of Los Angeles. Located on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills, the sign is a landmark that has been featured in countless films, TV shows, and photographs over the decades.Despite its popularity, the Hollywood Sign is not always easy to reach. Visitors can hike to the sign from various starting points, but the trails can be steep and challenging, particularly in hot weather. Nevertheless, the hike is worth it for the breathtaking views and the opportunity to stand in the shadow of such an iconic symbol.

To see the Hollywood sign a road leads you through a park and up into an observation area and costs 10.00 for parking. Luckily, I brought a 13 yr old pair of legs to jump out and take a pic ( my photographer/granddaughter)!I wasn’t up for a hike uphill to be as far away as it is from the sign. And hey, she saved me 10 bucks and a whole lotta walking… which was priceless in the 100 + degree heat!

Awesome hike!Everyone should go at least once. 40-50 min hike with moderately difficult trail, starting on Lake Hollywood Dr, where you may find parking spots on weekends before 6-7 am.I loved the majestic view. I would recommend arriving early so that it’s not so hot. Bring water.

The" Hollywood sign is a tourist attraction if you want that famous pic. There are multiple ways to arrive. It is August and super hot..I did not end of hiking or taking any trail. We took the shortest drive up there through the neighborhoods. Parking wasnt bad since most people go up there take their pic and leave. I recommend going on a weekday as well. There is a little park next to it..vendors selling fruits and refreshing drinks. I even seen a cool coffee cart in car. 😄

Awesome hike. Depending on which route you take will determine the difficulty of the hike. I started the hike going to wisdom tree then the Hollywood sign and ended near the “last house on mulhulland”. My whole route was 6 miles but you could make yours shorter or longer.

I did the hike from Lake Hollywood to behind the sign, it took about 2 hours for the round trip. It was not particularly challenging in terms of length and slope but the hot weather made it more difficult. It was anyway very nice and the view from the top is really worth it despite a little bit of mist.

A great hike to the top. Do a google map for the guide to get to the top. There is what looks like a locked door and. Sign that says no entry to Hollywood sign and has door with a keypad along the route but it’s usually unlocked and you just go thru. Well worth the hike. Bring water and snacks. At the end get some delicious fruit from a vendor at the entrance in the street.

When we traveled to Los Angeles, California, a must-visit spot on our list was the Hollywood Sign, one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. This iconic symbol of the entertainment industry represents the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and has a rich history that reflects the evolution of Los Angeles itself. The Hollywood Sign is synonymous with the global entertainment industry. It signifies the hopes and dreams of countless individuals who come to Hollywood seeking fame and fortune. Each year, millions of tourists flock to Los Angeles to catch a glimpse of the Hollywood Sign. It is a must-see destination for visitors looking to experience a piece of cinematic history, and we were among those. We got lost on the roads of the hill, trying to find a spot for a nice photograph that would prove we had visited the Hollywood Sign. After an hour, we found it! A nice hill with an incredible view of the Hollywood Sign as a background, within walking distance from Lake Hollywood Park.We highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling to this landmark. Snap a shot here, and you will not be disappointed.

One is for Hollywood sign and another is for city view.During trek, You will also be able to see few good properties of celebrities. You can also check Klook for any package for this. They usually have reasonable package for this activity.Try to start early in the morning.

Very busy Sunday. There was a Greek event at the Theater that had traffic backed up for various parking setup. Once up on the hill, there are parking meters asking you to pay $10 along the side of the road and the parking lot at the observatory. There are also lanes for taxi, ride share and bus drop-off.Bathroom facility there was clean. Did not go to observatory. Just wanted picture of sign as the first time I went, it was overcast and could not see it because of fog/clouds.

We decided to go up as far as we could to get close enough for good pictures with the sign. It’s a residential area so you can only go as far as the ‘no parking’ signs permit. A little hiking didn’t kill nobody.

The Walk of Fame is a popular tourist attraction located on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, CA that features stars emblazoned with the names of some of the most famous celebrities in history. The stars are spaced out along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard, and have been installed since 1958.
Once in a lifetime experience. You feel like Hollywood star when you walk here. Would recommend to everyone to visit if possible. You will get amazed to see hand and foot prints of your favorite actors. You will keep searching your favorite actors name and will find everyone. You can go either day or in nights but feeling is same.

Another overrated place on the Los Angeles map. Basically, except for the famous celebrity stars located in the sidewalk, there is nothing else interesting there. On the streets, homeless people and junkies who accost passersby. Perhaps if they weren't there, the climate would be much better. A place to tick off, not to visit. A piece further on is Grifith Observatory, from where you can enjoy a nice panorama. Walk of fame is a place for fans of rich people living a lavish life. I do not recommend this place. It is definitely better to go outside Los Angeles and enjoy the beautiful nature.

Hollywood is for certain quite a new, & different level of fun in a very good way. But beware of the "tinsel"... it's sparkly, dazzling, & glittery but it's not real. Think on that and enjoy the (if you haven't seen it) fun. Highly recommend!!!

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an iconic spot, and while it was interesting to see the stars of some of my favorite celebrities, the overall experience wasn’t as enjoyable as I had hoped. The area is incredibly overcrowded, which makes it hard to fully appreciate the surroundings. Unfortunately, the presence of numerous homeless people begging adds a layer of discomfort to the visit. The atmosphere is also affected by the strong smell of urine, and the street food carts lining the area didn’t look appealing at all—something I would definitely avoid. While the Walk of Fame has its historical significance and a few moments of excitement when spotting a familiar star, the reality of the environment really detracts from the experience. If you’re planning to visit, it might be worth reconsidering, as the chaotic and unappealing surroundings overshadow the highlights.

It's cheesy California but you have to do it at least once in your life. Absolutely no parking on a Monday afternoon, so may require either a walk or a drop off. Honestly a bit gross and in need of a wash too. But it was still a fun, authentic, somewhat-free experience!

It could have been sooooo much better, they need to take care of the cleanliness there, probably caused by a lot of homeless people on the side street. I got a mixed feeling about the Walk of Fame, some parts are good and others just don't fit the feel. They are good shops around to buy souvenirs and grab some food to eat.

It was fun finding celebrities I was familiar with, but that’s really it. The street is not very well maintained and there are a lot of tourists so I wouldn’t recommend it very strongly. Im the 3rd floor of the Dolby Theater, which is in the middle of the street, you can catch a tiny view of the Hollywood sign.

Can’t visit LA without stopping at the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It was my first time there and I’m not going to lie, I was highly disappointed. It was very dirty and there were homeless people everywhere. I’m so mad at myself for not visiting years ago when it was most likely cleaner. I did like seeing the stars and it kind of felt like a scavenger hunt trying to find names I recognize. But honestly, I would not recommend.

My recent visit to the Hollywood Hall of Fame left me deeply saddened and disappointed. While I had anticipated a memorable experience celebrating the achievements of Hollywood legends, what I encountered was far from what I had hoped for.As I approached the area, I couldn't help but notice the disheartening state of the streets. They were littered with trash, and the sidewalks emitted a strong odor of urine. The sight of homelessness was pervasive, with individuals occupying every corner, their presence a stark reminder of the socioeconomic challenges facing our society. What saddened me even more was the apparent lack of police presence in the vicinity. Despite the obvious need for intervention and support, there was no visible effort to address the issues plaguing the area. As a visitor, I couldn't help but feel uneasy and unsafe amidst such neglect. The Hollywood Hall of Fame is meant to be a symbol of glamour and achievement, yet its surroundings paint a starkly different picture. It's disheartening to witness the neglect and disregard for the well-being of both residents and visitors alike. In conclusion, while the Hollywood Hall of Fame itself may hold historical significance, the deteriorating conditions of its surroundings detract significantly from the overall experience. Unless urgent measures are taken to address these issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend a visit to this area.

It was cool to see once but I wouldn’t go back. There are too many cheats… I mean salespeople on the street. Tents covering up some of the stars. And people tried to sell us his CD!!! I didn’t know that was still a thing!! He even told my wife that she was racist but we didn’t say anything and walked away.Look around for parking lots as one was $30 and one lot over was $10Worth going once. I won’t go back

A little underwhelming. Stars seemed not to be kept in good shape. Overall surroundings weren't as glamorous as one would picture. Maybe the hype raises the bar too high or maybe they should just take better care of the area in general?

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an iconic tribute to the stars of the entertainment industry, stretching along Hollywood Boulevard. The experience of strolling past the brass stars, each bearing the name of a beloved celebrity, is both nostalgic and surreal. While the area is bustling with tourists, street performers, and vendors, the energy is vibrant and lively. However, the surrounding area can feel a bit commercialized and crowded, sometimes detracting from the experience. Despite this, the Walk remains a must-visit for movie buffs and anyone interested in Hollywood history. It’s a fascinating blend of glamour and kitsch, capturing the essence of the entertainment capital of the world.Free thing to doCheck for parking lots around ($10 flat rate for whole day) next to the Theatre artist buildingCouple of murals close by

Photos of some are posted here.I had to do a bit of research when asked “how a star was given to a performer or celebrity” and it was one of many things learned….and listed below. The criteria for receiving a star consists of the following:1) Professional achievement2) Longevity in the category of 5 years or more3) Contributions to the community4) The guarantee that the celebrity will attend the dedication ceremony if selected.Posthumous awards require a 5 yr waiting period.

The place is extremely crowded, and there are no maps to help you find your favorite spots. It definitely feels like a world of its own. Besides the well-known attractions for photo ops, the area could be cleaner and should have more guides or security, as pickpocketing incidents do happen.

It was good to see it. I expected more but it was cool. About 30 minutes to walk it from end to end. Good vibes in the streets and plenty of street food options. Make sure to try it!Parking is hard to find. We parked at the beginning of the street in a public car park for 25$ for 2 hours (they also do full day for 35$).

That has nothing to do with the glamour place a tourist expects if visiting. Walk of shame would be a better name. The entire street is in a poor and sad condition. It stinks in many places, lots of homeless or random guys trying to scam tourists. Better go else there. As farther down the street you go, as more sad it gets. I am totally shocked.

This place remains kinda run down despite the city efforts. Parking is a nightmare and traffic as well. Nothing new. On a brighter note I have enjoyed the Hollywood Blvd and Whitley ave magic and wigs shop remains as complete as ever.

Amusement park
Universal Studios Hollywood is a sprawling amusement park in Los Angeles, known as The Entertainment Capital of L.A. It offers a unique cinema-themed experience with rides, restaurants, shops, and shows. Visitors can explore movie sets and enjoy attractions like Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, King Kong 360 3-D Studio Tour, Transformers: The Ride-3D, The Simpsons Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park - The Ride.
Second time here 7 years apart and still loved it.Great fun park with plenty to see & do for all ages. The staff were all very helpful and polite.Back lot tour was great and as a change from last time we got to hop off the bus and see some things close up.Watch out for a slightly twitchy gentleman that frequents a somewhat shady motel.

Great places for families with older children, I would say 9 and up. My 9yo barely makes it to the height requirement, and some rides are very loud and scary, but that's Hollywood! I would definitely recommend walking shoes and plenty of water when coming to visit, some snacks are allowed. We loved the Mario world ride that made you feel like you were in the game. We will be returning for more fun!
Ana R — Google review
Great park with lots of attractions for every age group. Young kids should not miss The Secret Life of Pets. Teens should not miss Jurassic World. Thrill seekers should not miss The Mummy. People who do not enjoy rides should not miss the Studio Tour, which is the oldest and best attraction in the park. Food is over priced and not that good, but that is expected in a theme park. Avoid Mario Land to the end to avoid crowds.

I went on my own and tried all the rides .My most favorite were the motion simulators .The scary room was so scary iv never been so spooked in my life from the theme park, totally worth trying. They offer shuttles from the metro which is very convenient if you don't drive. The park has many shops if you want to combine the shopping as well during your short trip to LA just like I was .Would like to come back for Harry Potter during the Christmas time as well 🤞

Oh my goodness! So cool! 🤩 The only downside was that there wasn't a 'Jaws' shark during our tour at Universal Studios. 😅 But honestly, all the rides were so exciting! Transformers is a must, Jurassic Park was epic, and Nintendo World is amazing! Food-wise, there were some top players too. If you're short on time, maybe skip the Minion ride—it was fun, but not a priority compared to everything else! Early entry ticket is a MUST!

Our visit to Universal Studios Hollywood was absolutely unforgettable, and the VIP Tour was a major highlight, especially thanks to our wonderful guide, Sara. She was incredibly friendly, had amazing knowledge about the studios, and gave us an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience like no other. Sara made the tour engaging and enjoyable with her wit and charm, and we felt truly looked after the entire time. The VIP Tour was absolutely worth it. From exclusive access to sets to behind-the-scenes insights and fascinating stories, it made our day perfect. A special surprise was the lunch – we didn’t expect it to be so high-quality and diverse, a true highlight of the day. We’ll definitely be coming back and can highly recommend Universal Studios Hollywood, especially with the VIP Tour. Huge thanks to the entire team, especially Sara, for this incredible day!

The park is Very impressive , with amazing rides. We came the earliest and got in a few good rides that were fun and well designed without any lines. There are a few nice restaurants in the place. Also, it’s very walkable and really fun to look around. This one’s a MUST GO in LA. Honestly better than Disneyland.

Amazing rides, great selection of iconic Hollywood movies. The studio tour is superb.... mummy was scary as, Jurassic park was fun, Harry Potter so nostalgic and Transformers action packed.... Must do all.We had express that really helped cover off all in one day.....

Great experience. Not too busy. If you arrive early enough you can get a lot of the rides on less than 15 min queues. Was a lot of fun. The theming of each area is fantastic. Several characters out and about. Recommend taking only small bags as the free lockers are quite narrow.

Joyful and amusing park for all ages. We had a great time there. The waiting time wasn’t that bad but its was a hot day!!The Hollywood tour and Harry Potter World is a must to visit!!The food was pretty good for what you pay.

We love everything about it! The last few weeks of August are the best time to visit: the park offers the lowest ticket price, the lines aren't too long, and the weather is perfect. The food is amazing! Mario's World is the best! It's smaller than Orlando's, but we still enjoyed it a lot.

I think Universal Studios Hollywood is really designed for a younger crowd. If you’re in your teens to 30’s it would be ideal. The rides can be very jerky and many rely on screen projections and 3D glasses. There is an upper and lower lot, with a 10 minute escalator ride between them, and lots of walking no matter where you go. Even between the valet parking and the front gate was a huge walk (about 10 minutes with no-wait security) to get to the entrance. My friend has a disability and cannot walk as quickly, and I’m not as fast as I once was either. We opted for the VIP Experience, thinking it would be better to walk onto rides and have someone looking out for us along with providing color commentary. Instead, it was a bit of a forced march as the guide rushed from place to place to provide the most rides he could pack into the day. We lost them at least 3 times. When my friend suggested that she may need to rent an electric scooter to keep up, he told her we could go off on our own and enjoy the day at our own pace. She retorted that she didn’t pay over $400 for a VIP Experience to just go off on her own. Both my friend and I plus another couple from the tour were taken off the Harry Potter ride temporarily so they could test the guy with tension bandages on his leg, and have my friend remove her pillow which protects her brittle body. We got back on the ride but it broke down as we were sitting upside down, and I was wondering how they’d evacuate us. Luckily it got moving again. We were able to get a longer backlot tour (2 hours vs the normal 45 minutes), a quick continental breakfast, a nice buffet lunch, and valet parking as part of the VIP Experience.

I had a short time in Los Angeles but I was able to get to Universal Studios. The website said $109 for the admission but when you buy on the weekend it is $148. The question is it worth it? Absolutely. The rides are fun and each corner of it brings a new experience to you. You can finish the whole thing in one day if you start early. They stayed open until 8p. Of course everything is pricey because it is an entertainment place. I followed the crowd in doing activities as there wasn't a lot of directions about the place. I would recommend this place for you and your family!

Universal Studios Hollywood is an amazing experience I've enjoyed multiple times. The rides are thrilling, and the behind-the-scenes tours are fascinating. The park has a fun atmosphere with plenty of dining and shopping options. I highly recommend it for a day of excitement! I also recommend to buy the Fast Pass ticket in order to avoid long lines.

Had the VIP experience with Alexis and can highly recommend this tour and paying extra to skip all lines and enjoy the hospitality before and during your full day of the park. Excellent thank you. Food and drink was fantastic we even stayed for the horror night after.

Universal Studios Hollywood is a must see family fun place when in LA! Highly recommend doing the one hour studio tour early morning on weekday there was just 10 min wait. Plenty of fun rides for kids and adults, places to shop, eat, friendly staff clean restrooms, water stations and plenty of seating areas all around! It was a hot day and lots of queues were indoor with misty fans to cool you down all around the park. Overall a great day in the park to spend whole day, enjoyed rides some had long wait, we used general pass, express pass and lockers were available too!Younger kids absolutely enjoy Mario world rides and ser is colorfully designed and just so amazing for anyone to enjoy. If you can plan weekdays is leases crowd. If you are staying till the evening highly recommend stopping to enjoy the panoramic view while taking elevator to Harry Potter rides. On a clear day the view of city of LA was amazing with mountains on the back and valley in front of you. Sunset was stunning! We couldn’t stay for the night light shows but got amazing night view while walking to parking area. In the dark everything is so beautifully lit up and looks just wonderful!

Visited the park at the end of July during the week, arrived around nine and immediately did the studio tour with zero waiting. I had already visited it more than 20 years ago, but it hasn't changed much... I would have expected more innovation. Nice for those who go there first time but then if you come back for a second visit it doesn't have the same effect. After the tour, in the meantime a lot of people arrived... waiting for the attractions from 60 to 90/100 minutes... for a game that lasts less than 5 minutes. If you pay a lot of money you can have a fast line... but is it really worth spending so much? The Harry Potter village and the Mario Kart area are very nice. The kids loved it, but the long lines disappointed them a lot.

Great experience! Highly recommend the rides! Love the Harry Potter, transformers Mario Karts. If you love thrills check out Jurassic park and Mummy rides! Food is decent, expensive but not surprise since it’s an attraction park. Would definitely come back!

Theme Park review. We just visited this place 9/21/24.Want to start first with Customer Service, this is probably where I want to give 6 stars. From a couple of phone calls to almost every person I asked guidance for they were spectacular. Now, for the rides, these are most simulated rides, don't waste your time with them, they are outdated and that says it all.Lots of restaurants and souvenir stores. Do I need to mention over priced bad food?Parking, we paid for gate parking which is the most expensive of the options at $75, you can pay just for preferred at $50 which both are side by side 😂. These are things NO EMPLOYEE WILL TELL YOU.$35 general if you can walk 4 minutes. We paid the regular $144 for ea adult and $138 for kids but once inside the park we wanted to upgrade to express but I was going to cost $130 more PER PERSON...If you decide to go, then pay for the express package and you skip line ups ONLY ONE PER RIDE.Advice, go straight for the studio tour and then spend time on the rest. One more thing, there is a awesome water park BUT you must wear shoes AT ALL TIMES so bring shorts and shoes to get wet.

$35 basic parking, accommodates up to 14 ft high vehicles in the garage. Arrive early. Lines not too bad on weekdays except Secret Life of Pets (45 min).

The Win~Dow Venice Boardwalk is a casual eatery that serves burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, and grain bowls alongside shakes and ice cream. Located on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, it's surrounded by numerous street vendors, performers, restaurants, bars, juice spots and shops selling souvenirs like sunglasses and shirts. The boardwalk is also home to medical marijuana dispensaries and a considerable population of homeless people.
This place was recommended to us by a friend who said this had the best fried chicken sandwich. He was not exaggerating.Their chicken sandwich is not only affordable, but may indeed be the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.First of all, they give a good slaw on this sandwich that is sweet and vinegary which is always what you need with something fried. They also put a nice, mild , tangy sauce on the buns. The buns are one of my favorites so soft and pillowy and made fresh. The chicken itself is incredible. Crispiest piece of chicken I’ve maybe ever had. Incredible flavor, super juicy on the inside, and again so crispy on the outside.I also got their cheeseburger which was amazing. If you like pickles, they load these up! They also use a potato bun which I really enjoy. The bun almost “melts” around the sandwich giving such a good bite of food that holds together. The beef itself is super well seasoned and a little charred to give a nice crunch.Come here for the best fried chicken sandwich you’ll ever have and an amazing cheeseburger!

Not much to say other then if you enjoy a good burger you will enjoy it here. I order the double cheese burger and fries, looking forward to trying a milkshake next time.

Cheese burger was good, but not to die for or enough for me to go back. Definitely feels fresh and I loved the bun that it comes in. It is a small burger, but prices are reasonable. The fries were okay. Service was immaculate.

After hearing such great things about this spot I was excited to try! Very surprised and disappointed at how my burger came out. Looks like half is missing! Flavors were good, but meat to bread ratio ruined the experience.

The window on Venice boardwalk is a delightful place to eat a hamburger. Often mistaken for a tourist trap the window on Venice boardwalk serves delicious Smash Burger Style sandwiches. But with a slightly thicker burger patty. The dance between the meat in the sauce it's awesome. Thick cut pickles add a different mouthfeel to the whole thing. It's a must-try went on Venice boardwalk and I highly recommend.

Delicious and reasonably priced!Usually, food on the boardwalk is a tourist trap that is not tasty and expensive, but this was the complete opposite experience. Service was quick; burgers were juicy and fries were fresh. There is a section off to the side where you can sit and eat - we were able to watch the sunset while enjoying our meal. I will be back to try the other items. There was also a hand sanitizer pump by the pick up window.
Rose C — Google review
The rundown...good and soft smash burger kind of like shake shack's. The fries are crispy, but a little over done for my taste. Still good regardless. The lemonade is very good... Really refreshing but without being too sweet.Got that all for about ~$12 so it's a good deal in my opinion

As always, best smash burger in town! Quality is high for such a low price. Ingredients always feel fresh and the pickles are one of the best ever. Fries are irresistible and service is quick.

The Nethercutt Museum is a remarkable collection of vintage automobiles, antique furniture, and mechanical musical instruments. Founded by J.B. Nethercutt in 1971, the museum showcases over 250 American and European classic cars dating from 1898 to 1997. The collection includes vehicles from various eras such as Antique, Vintage, Classic, and Post-War periods.
The cars in the collection are beautiful and you can see them for free which is nice of the owners to let people enjoy their collection. Eduardo explained to us the history behind the collection and gave us a lot of insight to further appreciate the collection. Would definitely go with plenty of time so you can truly take in all the detail and beauty of each vehicle.

Every time you walk into a room it is breathtaking, I won't spoil any of the music rooms on the tour, but when the curtains open it is so cool. Also you have to check on at the actual museum before.yli go to the music tour

Fascinating place to visit. Lots to see and learn about many aspects of automobiles. Also great collection of music boxes of all sizes and varieties. And the 3rd largest Wurlitzer organ in the world that will play for you without an organist. Definitely worth your time!

This part of the museum is free and definitely worth a visit. Check out the website to see when the tours of the train are scheduled. To get a full sense of the collection, I highly recommend scheduling your visit around the tours of the collection next door. It is only $10 currently and takes 2 hours. Note that a lot of the pictures in people's reviews are from this special tour so at least try to figure out the details how everything is situated to avoid disappointment.

There are two collections of cars housed in separate buildings: one with free admission and another costing $10. The latter includes a two-hour guided tour and requires reservations. The reviews and pictures presented here are for the free collection. Each car is accompanied by a placard containing a detailed description of the vehicle (e.g., year, original purchase price, manufacturer, mechanical specifications, and notable historical ownership). The visit to the admission-free collection, along with reading all the placards, should take no more than two hours. My only suggestion to the operator is to replace all those obnoxiously LOUD mercury lights with quiet LED lighting so visitors can truly appreciate the lovely period-era music playing in the background.Note: the museum has very limited hours and was open just 3 days per week as of this review (Thu, Fri, Sat).

You will love this place. I'm not a car enthusiast, but I love it here. The museum is free, but the Nethercutt Collection building is $10 and reservations are required. It is totally worth this price and much more.Cars are immaculate. They drive all of them on a regular basis. Stunning cars and one of the best collections. My favorite part is the very large collection of rare self-playing musical machines!!!The Wurlitzer Pipe Organ is spectacular to hear with its 5000 pipes. Made to be housed in silent movie theaters. They are all meticulously cared for. They are stunning. Also amazing collections of hood ornaments, dolls, coins, crystal figurines, David Winter Cottages, clocks, and antique furniture. The Nethercutts lived here for over 20 years and was one of the largest homes in the US. You get to see their dining table where they entertained with beautiful chandeliers. The private train cars in the back are beautiful. Amazing to see how the super wealthy lived. It's the kind of museum you will love to repeat.
