Several college basketball programs recently made power moves in the transfer portal, rapidly rising within the 2024-25 team rankings. Numerous first-year coaching took the summer offseason as an opportunity to strengthen roster via proven talent over incoming freshmen, the new norm in the portal era.

John Calipari's move from Kentucky to the other side of the SEC at Arkansas sent a shockwave of sorts throughout the conference, a jumpthat's resulted in a variety of personnel-relatedroster changes. Indiana and Kansas are two other bluebloods with NCAA Tournament expectations next season who appear to have elite rosters through portal assistance.

Most of college basketball's top transfers have already made their intentions known, but there are a few high-end options still on the board still debating on their next move.

Here are the updated team rankings in the transfer portal as of Monday, June 10:

10. UCLA Bruins (30.08 points)

Mick Cronin knows UCLA must show improvement next season and he's putting most of his eggs in the transfer portal basket.The most notableaddition is former USC small forwardKobe Johnson, who opted to make the crosstown move to the rival Bruins. A new point guard is also en route to UCLA with former Louisville standoutSkyy Clarkbeing the first of six transfer additions since the start of the cycle. The Bruins also landed a trio of power forwards for size —Tyler Bilodeau(Oregon State),Eric Dailey(Oklahoma State) andWilliam Kyle(South Dakota State).

9. Michigan Wolverines (30.10)

First-year Michigan coach Dusty May is in "trust the process" mode ahead of his first campaign with the Wolverines and roster management is a pivotal priority. Michigan finished up all of its portal work in April with six additions, including former FAU 7-footerVladislav Goldin, who followed May to Ann Arbor. The Wolverines also landed a trio of transfers with high-major experience including former Ohio State shooting guard Roddy Gayle Jr. and Auburn point guard Tre Donaldson.

8. Washington Huskies (30.26)

With five new player acquisitions in May, Washington enjoyed one of the biggest rises in the national transfer portal team rankings and now has a top 10 haul this cycle.The Huskies opted for front-court help with Utah State star Great Osobor and Portland's Tyler Harris and solidified their backcourt with four-star D.J. Davis from Butler and Rice's Mekhi Mason. North Dakota 6-4 guard Tyree Ihenacho is the latest addition,joining Rhode Island's Luis Kortright.

7. Alabama Crimson Tide (30.41)

Nate Oats is doing what he can this offseason to try and repeat his program's Final Four trip during the 2024-25 season with immense talent acquisitions in the portal including Rutgers big manClifford Omoruyi. The 6-foot-11, 240-pound veteranaveraged 10.4 points,8.3 rebounds and2.9 blocks per game last season as a difference-maker in the Big Ten and gives the Crimson Tide reliability in the paints. He joins an Alabama transfer class that already featured three standouts guards.

6. West Virginia Mountaineers (31.13)

Commits: 8

With eight transfers this cycle including three of the four-star variety, the Mountaineers have strengthened their roster in a big way undernew coach Darian DeVries. Oklahoma State's Javon Small and Drake'sTucker DeVries, the son of West Virginia's coach and the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, are both ranked inside the national top 10 and should fill immediate starring roles. Overall, this is one of the Big 12's top transfer classes, right behind Kansas.

5. Kentucky Wildcats (31.33)

Following the exodus of talent that left Lexington following Calipari's departure to Arkansas, first-year Kentucky coach Mark Pope hit the portal hard to fill his roster with one of the largest transfer classes in college basketball. The most recent addition at the end of May was BYU sixth man Jaxson Robinson, who tested NBA Draft waters before deciding another collegiate season was in the cards.Former McDonald's All-American and Oklahoma State big manBrandon Garrisonheadlines the haulfor Kentucky.Former San Diego State point guardLamont Butler Jr.and former Oklahoma wingOtega Owehare also key pieces for Pope.

Rick Pitino and St. John's made a pair of impressive moves in the portalafter the spring window closed last month afterlanding the No. 1 overall transfer prospect in former Seton Hall point guardKadary Richmondjust one day after it secured former Utah point guardDeivon Smith. Those additions vaulted St. John's into the top five of the transfer team rankings.Richmond earned First Team All-Big East honors last season while averaging 10.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. Smith ranked sixth among all Division I players with 7.1 assists per game.

3. Kansas Jayhawks (31.61)

After the unfortunate news ofElmarko Jacksonmissing the upcoming 2024-25 season due to injury,Kansasadded toits transfer portal classwithMississippi StateguardShakeel Moore. The transfer shooter has one season of eligibility left, which he will use during the 2024-25 season. He averaged 7.9 points per game on 46.8 percent shooting from the floor, including 36.3 percent shooting from 3 on 2.4 attempts per game for the Bulldogs this season. Bill Self's fifth portal pickup pushes the Jayhawks to No. 3 overall this cycle.Wisconsin's AJ Storr, Alabama's Rylan Griffen and Rice's Noah Shelby are the other big names.

2. Indiana Hoosiers (32.54)

Indiana's starting five takes a different look next season anchored by front man Oumar Ballo, the 7-footer from Arizona who is the prize gem of this notable portal haul for Mike Woodson. The Hoosiers' other three incoming transfers are each positioned inside the top 150 player rankings, includingPac-12 Freshman of the Year and former Washington State combo guardMyles Rice. He's one of a trio of guards who will headline Woodson's NBA-style offensive attack in Bloomington.

Calipari picked Kentucky's roster clean of three players he wanted — DJ Wagner,Zvonimir Ivisic and Adou Thiero — and also signed 6-11 Tennessee bigJonas Aidoo along with FAU star Johnell Davis. That gives the first-year Arkansas coach the nation's No. 1 group in the portal this cycle. Davis is a top-five transfer overall and recently withdrew from the NBA Draft afteraveraging career highs with 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game last season.
